What is the historical origin of Hengshui?

The word "Hengshui" first appeared in Wen Chengdi Tuoba Gui's "South Monument of Wen Chengdi" in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and Wen Chengdi once held a ceremony at the "Hengshui Bank" in Xindu (now jizhou city).

The "Hengshui" in the "Shore of Hengshui" is a section after Zhangshui, which passed through present-day jizhou city, also known as "Zhang Heng" or "Zhang Heng".

In the sixteenth year of Sui Dynasty, Hebei Ambassador Lang Jiangbo (including the land and villages around the former Taoyuan County, such as Taoyuan and Beimazhuang), Xindu and Wuyi were divided into three counties, and Hengshui County was newly established, which is now the old town village of Hengshui City. The name of the county town means "Let the water flow".

Because Zhangshui entered the sea from the southwest of Hengshui County, it turned north instead of east, and then entered the sea. The ancients also called this section of Zhanghe River "Hengshui". Since then, the name of Hengshui County has been used for several generations.

Hengshui City is located between 37 03'-38 23' and north latitude115/kloc-0'-16, bordering Cangzhou City and Dezhou City in Shandong Province in the east, Shijiazhuang City in the west and Shijiazhuang City in the south.

Taocheng District, where the city * * * is located, is 250km away from the capital Beijing in the north and119km away from the provincial capital Shijiazhuang in the west.
