Where is Liu Bang's hometown?

The hometown of Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang was Peifengyi, which is Fengxian County in Xuzhou today.

Liu Bang was the director of Sishui Pavilion in Pei County during the Qin Dynasty. In the peasant war at the end of Qin dynasty, he soared to the sky, and all the heroes gathered under his command. After starting from his hometown of Fengyi, he marched to Peixian County and was honored as "Pei Gong".

In 206 BC, Liu Bang was named Hanwang by Xiang Yu, the leader of the rebel army, and the fiefs were Hanzhong and Bashu (so when Xiang Yu was defeated, the title was "Han").

Liu Bang made a decisive contribution to the unification of Han nationality and China and the protection and development of China culture. From 202 BC to 65438 BC+095 BC, he reigned for 8 years. The name of this temple is Taizu, posthumous title Gao. Because Sima Qian called it Emperor Gaozu in Historical Records, it was commonly used in later generations.

Extended data

There are many traces and legends of Liu Bang's activities in Fengxian County.

For example, the Phoenix Xie site in the southwest corner of the city (where the mother of the country ate the phoenix Xie before she was born), the Longwuqiao site in the north of the city, the Beimiao site (where Liu Wei was pregnant and gave birth to a great-grandfather), the Wumen site in the northeast corner of the city where Ding and Liu Bang fled, and the Shuangzao tree site planted by Liu Bang nearby.

Legends and stories such as phoenix acupuncture, ants building graves, Qin Shihuang building an anaerobic platform in Fengcheng, son of Chi Di, falling horse monument, Xiaowumen, spiders and crickets all show that Fengxian is the hometown of Liu Bang.

Liu Bang, a commoner in cloth and clothes, can be an emperor. There are many legends in Xuzhou, all of which are full of legends. The most popular is that Liu Bangzu's grave is buried in a treasure trove of geomantic omen.

Liu Qing, Liu Bang's grandfather, moved from Daliang, the capital of Wei State (now Kaifeng, Henan Province) to Fengxian County, and his village was later called "Jin Liu Zhuang".

According to legend, a buttonwood tree was born in front of Liu's house, which grew into a towering tree a few years later. One day, the wind was blowing hard, and a golden phoenix flew in and built a nest in the tree. Then golden phoenix flew away. Strangely, Liu Qing also died of illness. The family dug down the buttonwood tree and made a coffin for Liu Qing.

When I was about to be buried, the sunny weather suddenly changed, and there was a storm and thunder rumbling. The coffin had just left the house and could not be carried back, so it was temporarily parked next to the buttonwood pit. When the rain stopped and undertaker came to carry the coffin, he found that the coffin was gone and a grave appeared on the buttonwood pit. People saw the ants on the grave were dark and busy carrying earth to the grave.

This is the legend of "phoenix needle" and "ant round grave" in Liu Bangzu's tomb.
