Songyuan City is located at the southern end of Songnen Plain, beside the beautiful and rich Songhua River, and in the middle of Changha Economic Belt. It is the junction of Jilin, Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia, and one of the planned urban agglomerations in central Jilin Province. It covers an area of 22,000 square kilometers. With a total population of 2.86 million, there are 3 ethnic groups including Han, Manchu, Mongolian, Hui and Korean. Songyuan City governs 1 municipal district, 3 counties and 1 autonomous county. Songyuan City belongs to the mid-temperate continental monsoon climate zone. In spring, there is little rain and the temperature rises rapidly; Summer is hot and precipitation is concentrated; Autumn is cool, the temperature changes rapidly, the temperature difference is large, and the weather is sunny; Winter is long, snowfall is small, and it is cold and dry.
