Mazhuang Township is located in the northeast of Yanjin County, 33 kilometers away from the county seat, with a total area of 50.9 square kilometers, cultivated land of 42 170 mu, 38 administrative villages, 5679 households, 2456 1 person, and per capita net income of 200 1 yuan. Northwest China has the only "National Wetland Bird Nature Reserve" in our province. Banzao Township, Zhuzhai Township and other surrounding towns merged into Mazhuang Township, now collectively referred to as Mazhuang Township. According to legend, a man named Ma settled here at the end of Ming Dynasty, and was named Mazhuang after he became a village.
