20 1 1 What's the date of the August meteor shower? Can you see it in Cangzhou?

Perseus can be seen everywhere, and almost our whole country can see it.

But this year's meteor shower is not strong.

There are four relatively stable meteor showers every year, namely, the quadrant meteor shower in 65438+ 10, the Lyra meteor shower in April, the Perseid I meteor shower in August and the Gemini meteor shower in 65438+February. But this year, except for the observation conditions of meteor shower in June+10 in 5438, the other three times were affected by moonlight.

The Perseid meteor shower in August of 13 happened to be on Saturday (it can be used in most parts of China), and it lasted from the evening of June of 12 to the early morning of June of 13.

I started watching the last Perseid meteor shower around midnight. I watched it for three hours in a row, and I could see twenty or thirty meteors, and the weather was good at that time.

Unfortunately, this full moon will greatly reduce the number of meteors. I paid attention to the meteor shower in this constellation last year. I saw twenty or thirty meteors in two or three hours, most of which were yellow. The radiant point Perseus rises from the northeast in the early morning. If you insist on watching it, it may be a pity to watch the meteor shower on the full moon, but the landlord insists on seeing the northeast around 23 o'clock.

This year's meteor shower is not strong, but next year's will be better. When observing the meteor shower, we should pay attention to some conditions. The landlord can take a look and make preparations in advance.

1. Find the radiant point of the meteor shower, and don't look at the sky aimlessly. For example, the meteor shower in the constellation a few days ago, the radiation point rose in the eastern sky around 1, so look in the direction of the eastern sky: the best observation time is midnight.

2. If you want to find a place with less light pollution and good air quality to watch the meteor shower, the light source is a big obstacle, so you must see at least 100 stars in the place you find, so the effect will be better.

3. dark adaptation: from a bright place to a dark place, it takes about 2.3 minutes for the eyes to adapt to the darkness.

4. When watching the meteor shower, you need to use tools such as star maps and flashlights to find accurate radiation points. When looking at the star map with a flashlight, remember to cover it with a layer of red cloth to avoid being too dazzling and affecting the viewing.

5. Remember to watch the meteor shower with naked eyes. It is not suitable to use binoculars, because the field of vision of the telescope is too small and the field of vision of the naked eye is relatively large, so there are more meteors in the middle of the night from the perspective of the earth, which is also related to the brightness of the sky and the surrounding environment. Because many people have fallen asleep in the middle of the night, the light pollution is relatively small and the brightness of the sky is relatively dark, which is more conducive to watching meteors.

6. Watch the meteor shower to keep warm in winter. You can get a blanket on the ground to keep warm.

7. Record the number of fireballs and bright meteors you see, and count how many meteors you see.

I hope it helps you.
