Laoshan District, located in the east of Qingdao, is a new district established during the administrative division adjustment of Qingdao in April. 1994. The land area under its jurisdiction is 395.8 square kilometers, the sea area is 3700 square kilometers, and the coastline is 103.7 kilometers.
