Hongchiba in the rain

I struggled for a long time about where to go on National Day. Dabao is five and a half years old and can basically take care of himself, while Bauer is only six months old. It must be tiring to hold her all the way. In addition, there were many people queuing everywhere during the Golden Week, and they didn't want to go anywhere at first. Later, a friend invited us to drive to Wuxi Hongchiba and take Dabao out for a holiday. We can't break our word. Forget it, whether tired or not, just overcome the difficulties and always take the first step, so I took enough clothes and food and set off!

Chongqing Wuxi Hongchiba National Forest Park is located in Wuxi County, Chongqing, 440km away from the main city of Chongqing, with an altitude of 1800m to 2800m m. The park has the largest and most beautiful flower sea in the world's high altitude area-"Flower Sea in the Clouds", and it is also the largest alpine meadow grassland in the south of China, and is known as "New Zealand in China". The park has profound cultural heritage and rich cultural landscape. It is also the birthplace of ancient witch culture and salt culture in China. It is also the hometown of Chun Shen Jun, one of the four gentlemen of the Warring States and an important minister of Chu. Along the way, I told Dabao that we could gallop on the prairie, see the beautiful scenery and take beautiful photos. The children are also very excited. Although we drove to Hongchiba for nearly 8 hours, we didn't say that we were tired.

When I came to the scenic spot, I didn't know whether to cry or laugh. Although the weather forecast says it will rain, it keeps raining. The temperature is very low, only 7 degrees, while it is 26 degrees in Chongqing, which is terrible. There are basically no people in the scenic spot and the hotel is full. It seems that many people have the same experience as me. There are many cattle and sheep on the scenic road, which really feels like a prairie. I can only stay in the hotel for one night at night, and I ate the first roast whole lamb this year, which was not delicious at all.

The next morning, the rain didn't stop, so I decided to drive out for a walk. We drove in the direction of Xiliuhe and headed for the depths of the scenic spot. All over the mountains, it is a misty fairyland. At first, the road was fine, but just in front of the scenic spot, a Volvo stopped at the roadside and suffered a landslide. The stone scraped into the fuel tank, waiting for rescue. We dare not go any further and dare not turn back. Before I left, I went to see the flower sea. Only the vervain that looks like lavender took two pictures in the rain.

Although the trip to Hongchiba did not come in her most beautiful season, it did test my husband and me. It took seven hours to take two children by car for the first time. Although we are very tired, the children's adaptability is beyond my imagination. Without fidgeting and complaining, a small flower, a leaf and a lamb can make them happy, make me realize the significance of traveling, feel what nature has given us personally and discover beauty with my eyes.
