Wang hong had to marinate the meat with salt, sugar and soy sauce. Unexpectedly, it has been rainy and sunny for many days, and no one cares about the meat. Wang hong tried to strip off the vermicelli sausage, cut the meat into granules and stuffed it into casing, then tied it with aquatic plants, hung it under the eaves and dried it in the sun for a few days, and made the original Cantonese sausage. Because sausages are not greasy and have a special flavor, wang hong did the same, running sausages as a business, which attracted more and more buyers and became very popular.
Smart Huangpu people made preserved meat, preserved duck and other preserved products according to the method of curing sausages, and constantly studied and improved the production technology, from full manual production to semi-mechanized production or full mechanized production, from air drying to indoor charcoal roasting, and then to solar drying technology. Huangpu bacon also gradually went out of the house and went abroad.
After the reform and opening up, in order to promote the development of the bacon industry, the Huangpu Town Party Committee actively took preferential measures such as land use, electricity use, water use and taxation, and vigorously supported the development of the bacon industry, making the bacon industry develop rapidly.
