In which months is the weather wet in Hunan?
Hunan has a subtropical monsoon climate. There is abundant rainfall, with an annual average rainfall of 1200 ~ 1700 mm, but the temporal and spatial distribution is very uneven. A year's rainfall is obviously concentrated in a period of time, which is called rainy season. The rainy season usually lasts only three months, but it concentrates 50% ~ 60% of the annual rainfall. The rainy season starts and ends in different places, from late March (or early April) to the end of June in southern Hunan, from late March (or early April) to early July in central Hunan and Dongting Lake, from mid-April to early July in western Hunan, and from mid-April to the end of July in northwest Hunan, all due to the successive transformation of summer monsoon in various places. However, the transition time of monsoon is not fixed, and anomalies often occur between years, leading to early or late rainy season, prolonged or shortened, resulting in floods or droughts.
