Climatic conditions of tangla angqu peak

Because the Tangla Angqu Peak is located in the hinterland of the mainland, the barrier function of Nyainqentanglha Mountain blocks the northwest cold current and the Indian Ocean warm current, which basically belongs to semi-arid continental climate, with annual precipitation of 200-400 mm, and the rainy season in this area is from mid-May to mid-September every year, during which 80-90% of the annual precipitation is concentrated, and snowstorms often occur in spring.

Because Tanglaangqu Peak is close to Namtso, one of the three "holy lakes" in Tibet, the weather is greatly affected by the lake. The weather is changeable and complicated every day, and there are often various weather phenomena such as showers, hail, thunderstorms and lightning in one day.
