Do you need to put something in the cage to keep the Dutch rat? What can be padded to keep warm?
1. Dutch pigs need to drink water (boiled water is ok), especially in summer, it is easy to get heatstroke without drinking water. Your Dutch pig doesn't drink water because of the change of seasons and because the food in its community already contains enough water to meet its needs. Don't worry. 2. Dutch pigs' teeth will get longer and longer over time, and when they grow to a certain extent, they can't eat anything (go to the pet hospital to cut off a part). In order to avoid this situation, it is recommended to prepare a molar stone or wood for your pet pig (available in rodent pet shops). 3. Dutch pigs can't synthesize vitamin C by themselves, so they need to eat some foods containing vitamin C. If conditions permit, it is recommended to feed the pigs special feed for Dutch pigs. If conditions do not allow, it is also possible to give some fresh vegetables, fruits or juice every day (note: carrots and cucumbers hinder the absorption of vitamin C). 4. Pay attention to the proportion of vegetables, fruits, water and dry feed. Dry feed is essential to the life of pigs, because dry feed can dilute the excessive water intake of pigs. If pigs eat too much water, they will have diarrhea easily. General dry feeds include: special feed for Dutch pigs, biscuits (normal and milky, don't give your pet pigs sandwich biscuits and other biscuits with pungent taste), bread (not too greasy, ordinary sliced bread is suitable), steamed bread, steamed bread, rabbit food and dog food. 5. The Dutch pig is an animal that is afraid of cold and heat. Blowing air conditioning on pigs is easy to catch a cold and bad for pigs' metabolism. Therefore, it is not recommended to blow air conditioning on pigs. If the weather is particularly hot, you can put a bottle of frozen water in the cage at an appropriate position (not too close). 6. Dutch pigs are omnivores and eat everything. Pay attention to plastic bags, newspapers and the like, and stay away from your favorite pig. There are also some human foods that are dangerous to pigs, such as chocolate, Penghua food, carbonated drinks, bananas, lemons, onions, ginger, garlic and other irritating foods.
