Is the sub-line long or short?

Subline length is good:

First of all, fishing with a long line can make the bait swing bigger when it sinks, and the sinking speed is slower, making it easier for the fish to take the bait. Therefore, you can use the eldest son line to catch fish that like to eat live bait, such as kissing fish and bream.

The second point is that long strings are softer. No matter what size string is used, as long as the string is long, it is softer than the short string. So when the weather is very cold, we usually fish with the eldest son line, which will be much better.

Third, the long line has less interference with fish than the short line. Because the sub-line is long, the distance between the bait and the lead pendant is long. If you catch some cunning fish with strong alertness in the black pit, it will be very good to use long lines.

Determination of sub-line length:

If you set a target fish, there are two situations:

Mainly fishing for small fish, such as crucian carp, white stripes and herring, then the parting line is mostly below 20 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm.

If big fish are the main fish, whether carp, grass carp or herring, then the parting line is basically above 20 cm, and 20 cm can be used within 10 kg. The same is true for silver carp and bighead carp, but the hook distance is larger, about 35 cm.
