This is a disadvantage of autumn grafting. If you want to choose autumn grafting, you must do a good job of cold protection and warmth.

Generally, the temperature in winter is low, so grafting will not be used for fruit tree reproduction. Of course, in the warm areas of the south, grafting can also be done in winter. However, in general, fruit trees are dormant in winter, even if the wounds heal slowly after grafting, the survival rate of scions is low.
