The folklore of Tang Tian Temple

Local people also have some legends about the origin of Tang Tian Temple. According to the records of Tianzhu history, in order to make Tibetan Buddhism have an orthodox development reason here, missionaries put on a more mysterious veil for it. According to legend, in the year of 1360, that is, 20 years from the Yuan Dynasty to Zheng Zheng, there was a dragon on the Datong River, which often made waves, endangering all directions and causing profound disasters to the people. It happened that the fourth Karmapa Qiaobeiduojie Road in Tibetan Buddhism passed through here, and the local people asked the living Buddha to kill the people and surrender the dragon. After the exorcism of the living Buddha, the town of Long Ta 108 was built in Zhaxitan beside the Datong River. This place was named "Que Dian Tang", which means Pagoda Beach. Since then, the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism has gradually flourished here, and the ancient Bonism temple has become gelug sect monasteries.
