Village on the Cloud ―― Mulituo's Travel Notes
? Mulituan is one of the typical pocket mountain villages in the south of the Yangtze River. It is located in Xikou Town, Xiuning County, Huangshan City, at the waist of Kuzhujian Mountain at an altitude of nearly 1000 meters. It is the tallest village in Huizhou ancient town.
To go to Mulichuan, you can only take the mountain road honestly. Although the ancient road paved with bluestone slabs has a steep slope, there is no natural rest platform all the way, which is a challenge for people who usually lack exercise.
This ancient village has a history of 300 years. It hangs on the ridge on three sides, and only connects with Kuzhuling in the south. The terrain is steep, like an island. Villagers' houses are built on the mountain, retaining the original flavor of Huizhou architecture, and expanding from south to north step by step.
Mulituan is a village at the top of the mountain, with houses on one side and a valley on the other, and Jiangxi on the other side of the valley.
Mulichan's "the road is not smooth, the sky is not clear for three days"-the number of days with clouds is close to 100 every year, which is rare in southern Anhui. Villages are often surrounded by vast sea of clouds, overlooking the whole picture, spectacular, like a fairyland.
Yesterday, when we set off at 6: 30 in the morning, the weather was fine. On the way, we saw that the sky was getting brighter, as if the sun was coming out. When we arrived at Zuyuan Village, one of our destinations, it was still raining.
Zuyuan Village has a long history and many places of interest. There is a thousand-year-old yew in the village, 1200 years old, full of vitality. In addition to ancient trees, there are historical sites such as centuries-old wells.
We all walked around the village and took many beautiful photos. After the tour, our tour leader Xu Da found a farmhouse and ordered some local specialties. A smelly fish was cooked in the shop, which was very delicious! The meat is tender and delicious, much more delicious than that cooked in the hotel. Chinese food is paid per head. Ladies and gentlemen of 35 yuan, hospitable guests should pay the bill first. I thank this couple for their kindness!
After eating Chinese food, Xiao Fang, the outdoor guide of Qianfeng, urged everyone to gather and set off for the next destination-Mulifan, which is the most desirable place for our trip. Our party of 37 teammates set off under the guidance of the tour guide, and all the way was paved with green slates. Some places are so steep that only one person can pass, which is aptly described as a narrow path.
About half an hour later, the sky began to rain. Everyone said it was very comfortable, and everyone didn't take out rain gear. After a long walk, the rain became urgent. At this time, everyone had to give up optimistic ideas and take out ponchos or umbrellas from their backpacks. It is raining harder and harder. Some players only wore rain gear because they didn't bring rain gear, and soon their pants got wet.
Some teammates fell several times along the way, but it was okay. God bless peace.
Everyone kept going all the way, and finally arrived at Mulituan Village in less than two hours. No matter how wet it is, you can climb the best observation deck with great interest to take pictures of the scenery and leave many beautiful photos.
After a short rest and stay in Mulituan village, our group went down the mountain under the leadership of team leader Zhou. The path down the mountain is also paved with bluestone slabs. As the saying goes, "it's easy to go up the mountain, but difficult to go down it", it's true! Our husband and wife fell several times, but fortunately we didn't get hurt. Maybe the shoes they are wearing this time are not suitable for such a mountain road.
After the test of the narrow path, we finally arrived at the designated place-Zhanjiaqiao at around 4 pm, where the bus driver was waiting for us to get on the bus.
This is an unforgettable and meaningful long-distance trip, tired and happy!
