About lizards

Lizards belong to reptiles, and there are many kinds. There are about 3,000 species distributed on the earth, and there are more than 50 known species/kloc-0 in China. Most of them are distributed in the tropics and subtropics, and their living environments are diverse, mainly terrestrial, arboreal, semi-aquatic and digging holes in the soil. Most of them eat insects, and a few plants also eat insects at the same time. Lizards are oviparous, and a few are oviparous.

Pick a lizard with healthy body and mind.

When choosing lizards, we must pay attention to several aspects. 1 mental state, eyes full of spirits, strong limbs, strong physique and active eating; 2 bright colors and clear lines? No physical disability, no scale damage, no broken tail, and intact limbs and claws. Lizards selected in this way can be raised safely.

Lizard's habits

Lizards are all temperature-changing animals, so we must pay attention to the temperature difference is not too big, and the temperature is better at 10 to 30 degrees Celsius, otherwise lizards will easily die or get sick. Lizard's tail breaks easily, so don't pull it hard.

Keeping lizards is fun.

The following introduces several lizard breeding methods and experiences for reference only.

Long-tailed iguana is commonly known as chameleon, waterspout and horsehair snake. Bright colors, docile temperament, body length over 40 cm, can be kept in tanks or stocked. Tank maintenance, the length of the tank is longer than that of the lizard. The bigger the tank, the better. The bottom of the tank should be covered with sand or stone, and a sink or stone should be put to let it live in. Put a basin in the jar and let the water dry for it to drink and take a bath. Stocking can be in the house or balcony, put a basin or give it a hot bath every two days. Bread is the main food. /kloc-feed once every 0 to 2 days, and you can eat 6 bugs at a time. If possible, you can catch some crickets and frogs to improve your food, and occasionally feed some lettuce or apples to improve your health. It can be trained to lie still on its shoulders and go out for a walk.

Lizards and northern grass lizards are medium-sized, active and adaptable, so they should be kept in Tanqueray. The arrangement and feeding are the same as those of the long-tailed iguana, but there is no need to take a bath, and the humidity in the tank should be kept to avoid sultry heat and sun exposure. You can play with it in your hand, but you should pay attention to the lizard's quick movements. Occasionally, when provoked, it will open its mouth to bite, so don't grab it, pull its tail hard.

The skink is medium-sized, with a long tail, smooth scales, snake-like shape and strong vitality, and likes to make holes in the soil. The conditions for lifting the water tank are simple. The bottom of the tank is covered with sand, with a thickness of 5 to 10 cm, and has a drinking basin and a feeding basin. The food is mainly breadworms and other insects. Pay attention to keep the environment moist.

There may be more and more lizards as pets. However, it must be noted that some lizards are protected by the state, such as giant lizards and crocodile lizards, and their number is equivalent to that of giant pandas, and they are on the verge of extinction. So if you see someone selling or reselling it, you should refuse to buy it and report it immediately. Only in this way can these animals not disappear from the earth, and we can often see these lovely animals with personality.

Selection and feeding points of lizards

At present, lizards available on the market include hoses (long-maned lizards), skinks, big-headed lizards and so on. The latter two are smaller and more suitable for children. The hose is more suitable for adults.

The body of the hose is green (some are brown) and its tail is very long. One of my animals is about 66 centimeters long. The back and front of the male hose (with burrs and no thorns on his neck) is higher than that of the female hose, and his temperament is also more stubborn than that of the female hose. He likes to fight with people. Maybe this is called "cool"!

Pay attention to the following points when choosing:

1. With eyes full of gods, the crawling speed is faster.

2. The waterspout with green body color, high front and low back, short body and long tail should be selected.

3. The scales are intact, the tail end is sharp and round, and the claw tip is complete.

Pay attention to the following points when feeding:

1. It can be kept in a fish tank with white sea sand at the bottom. When the weather is hot, you can put a basin for it to drink Lycium barbarum. When the temperature is 0-20 degrees, put a piece of cloth in the jar and let it climb on it. When you sleep at night, cover it with a cloth to keep warm. The cloth used should be pure cotton.

2. Food includes breadworms, small fish and lean meat.

It is best to use cold boiled water for drinking water. Water feeding method: people sit on a chair, put it on their legs, and gently pour the lizard's head into the water with their fingers (the water container should be a shallow bowl). If its cheeks squirm, it is regarded as drinking water; If the lizard struggles with its head up, it means that it is not wet and does not need to be fed water immediately.
