How to prevent heatstroke in hot weather?

(1) Try to stay indoors with air conditioning. If you don't have air conditioning at home, you can go to the nearby cinemas, theaters, libraries, shopping malls and other air-conditioned public places to enjoy the cool.

(2) When going out, drink plenty of water and try to stay in the shade. Use sun hats and umbrellas to block ultraviolet radiation. Wear light and loose clothes.

(3) Use curtains to block the strong sunlight during the day, and open doors and windows to reduce the indoor temperature when there is a cool breeze at night.

(4) Wipe with a wet towel or shower to lower the body temperature.

(5) Don't leave children, the elderly or pets alone in a closed car.

(6) Avoid physical labor, such as sports and outdoor work.

(7) Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as entering the low-temperature air-conditioning environment immediately from the high-temperature outdoor.

(8) Drink plenty of water, and don't wait until you feel thirsty. If you have a disease and need to control your daily drinking, please consult your doctor about your drinking in hot weather. Avoid drinks containing caffeine, alcohol and a lot of sugar, which can lead to dehydration.

(9) Pay attention to media reports such as news and weather forecast, and keep abreast of meteorological conditions and health information during the heat wave.

(10) Keep in touch with relatives or neighbors who live alone during the heat wave to ensure their health.
