What lights are there on foggy days?

Fog lights, hazard warning flashes and low beam lights should be turned on at the same time in foggy days.

The rear fog lamp of a vehicle refers to a red signal lamp installed at the rear of the vehicle in the environment with low visibility such as fog, snow, rain or dust, and its luminous intensity is greater than that of the tail lamp, so that other road traffic participants behind the vehicle can easily find it. Some old cars will turn on fog lights while turning on the low beam, so there is no possibility of choosing the low beam.

Fog lights are brighter and more scattering than ordinary car lights. Don't turn on fog lights when they are not needed, otherwise it will interfere with the sight of other drivers, especially the sight of oncoming cars. If it is serious, it may cause a car accident.

Traffic regulations clearly stipulate that fog lights, hazard warning flashlights and low beam lights need to be turned on at the same time when driving in foggy days. Low beam lights, position lights and rear position lights must be turned on in fog, rain, snow, dust and hail weather.

The use of automobile lighting

1. Running lights: Running lights are also called width lights. Their function is to make the four corners of the vehicle visible, and the brightness is not as high as the headlights. This kind of light should be turned on in rainy days, dark days or underground parking lots.

2. High beam and low beam: The irradiation height of high beam is higher than that of low beam, so it can irradiate higher and farther objects. Low beam lamps are generally used on roads illuminated by street lamps. High beam is used on unlit roads, and is often used to illuminate road signs above distant roads.

3. Turn signal: When the vehicle needs to turn, it must turn on the turn signal in advance, and it is not allowed to turn until it is confirmed that there is no car coming from the rear. It is forbidden to turn immediately after turning on the light without confirming the rear.
