Because of the huge losses caused to the Philippines by the No.24 super typhoon Baoxia on 20 12, Baoxia resigned at the 46th meeting of the Typhoon Committee and was replaced by Abe. [5]

At 05: 00 on July/KOOC-0/9, 2065438, the center of Typhoon Abe was on the sea surface about/KOOC-0/350 km southeast of Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province, which was/KOOC-0/9.7 degrees north latitude and/KOOC-0/29.9 degrees east longitude. The maximum wind force near the center is Grade 8 (18m).
