Where is the temperate desert climate mainly distributed?

Temperate deserts are mainly distributed in the trade winds between north and south latitudes 15 ~ 35 degrees controlled by subtropical high. These places with high air pressure and stable weather are always dry and rainy because the wind blows from the land to the sea, but the humid air at sea cannot enter the land. Because of the long-term drought, the rocks on the ground are weathered to form fine sand grains, which accumulate in the wind to form sand dunes, and then are widely distributed in the vast desert, and some places with slow weathering speed will form deserts.

China desert is distributed in different natural zones from west to east, and the natural conditions are different, so the characteristics of each desert are different. With the improvement of natural conditions from west to east, fixed and semi-fixed sand dunes will gradually increase. The deserts in China mainly include the larger Taklimakan Desert, Gurbantunggut Desert, Badain Jaran Desert, Tengger Desert, Qaidam Desert and the smaller Kumtag Desert, Mu Us Sandy Land, Hunshandake Sandy Land, Horqin Sandy Land and Kubuqi Desert, among which Taklimakan Desert is the largest desert in China, accounting for half of the total desert area in China.
