In 2024, according to the "Chengdu Fireworks and Firecrackers Discharge Management Regulations", fireworks and firecrackers are prohibited in the following areas: Jinjiang District, Qingyang District, Jinniu District, Wuhou District, and Chenghua District administrative areas.

Other areas extend into the area within the 500-meter ecological protection zone outside the G4201 beltway section.

In addition, during the emergency warning period for heavy pollution weather, fireworks and firecrackers are prohibited in the entire administrative region of Chengdu. If it is necessary to hold a fireworks show or other large-scale fireworks display activities in a prohibited area due to a major celebration, it must be reported to the Municipal People's Government for approval, and the Municipal People's Government will decide and make an announcement.

At present, many districts (cities) and counties in Chengdu have issued relevant notices prohibiting the setting off of fireworks and firecrackers in the entire area. For example, Dayi County, Chongzhou City, Jintang County, Qionglai City, Jianyang City and other places have implemented policies prohibiting the burning and setting off of fireworks and firecrackers in the entire area.
