How many B pencils do you need to draw a still life?

Generally speaking, many kinds of pencils, such as 2B, HB, B, 4B, 6B, are used to sketch still life.

1, the more b, the darker (black) the color; the more h, the harder (hard) the lead, the lighter the color.

2. Sketch is to create a real three-dimensional sense through the depth of color, so use pencils with different soft and hard depths. The difference is that the carbon content and hardness are different, and the higher the B value, the darker it is.

3. Due to the different textures of different soft and hard performances, it is easier to produce detailed small strokes with pencils with low B numbers for highlights and details, and strokes with high B numbers are easy to be dirty.

4. Things drawn with strokes with a high B number will be well erased, and then there will be a smooth and soft feeling, but without strokes, the whole painting will be boring and very craftsman.

5. It is best not to lay hard lead on a painting at the beginning, especially in a dark place.

6B, 8B can be painted black, and H can be treated in detail, because it is not suitable to choose the coating position and feeling because of hardness and fineness.
