Composition of Mazu in Fengshan, Shanwei
(1) Mazu at the end of the museum helps other places.
The northern foot of Jinshan (also known as "Mashan") in Houzhai Town, the county seat, belongs to the pavilion tail boundary and is located in Yu Haibin. Since ancient times, fishermen have jointly built a Mazu Tempel (which still exists today). It faces Raoping County in the mainland in the north and south, and there is an island on the left for the former case, so it is called the "case island".
During the apocalypse of the Ming Dynasty, Jin, a gifted scholar in the eastern boundary of Raoping County, rowed with others one day and went ashore from Houjiangwan to visit South Australia. Everyone heard that there is a Mazu Tempel by the sea at the end of the museum, so they bought items, incense sticks and other things to pay their respects.
Gold and others came to the temple. He put on ornaments, burned incense, knelt down, prayed to Mazu devoutly, and said, "Mazu, if you bless me to pass the exam this time, I will buy 4 mu of land, 1 pool to thank God." .
Soon, he was admitted to the Jinshi, and later became a court official, known as "Huang Shangshu", and made a great splash. He never broke his word, sent his men to take money to the island, bought 4 mu of fertile land about 400 meters in front of the temple, and bought three ponds 700 meters east (later moved to Mazu Tempel) for irrigation. From then on, that field was called "Matian" and that pool was called "Machi". This move caused a sensation in Nan 'ao Island.
Later, a scholar in South Australia wanted to be a juror. He saw Mazu at the end of the museum so effective that he took things into the temple to pray and make a wish before the exam. However, I can't even pass the exam. He lost confidence in Mazu and sighed regretfully: "Mazu at the end of the museum will bless other places!" " "
Since then, "Mazu at Tingwei helped others" has become a common saying in Nan 'ao Island, which has been passed down to this day.
(2) Mazu helped people in litigation.
More than 65,438+000 years ago, during the Qing Dynasty, on the morning of Dragon Boat Festival, the clubs of Long 'ao (formerly known as Houzhai Town) (formerly known as "she"), Sheshe and Xige Club held a dragon boat race at sea to mourn Qu Yuan for one year.
On this day, four dragon boats, shaped like "red clay boats", set off from Gupo Reef on an island and rowed to Houjiang Beach for competition. As a result, the club at the end of the museum won the "laurel" and the club at the front of the palace won the second place. However, the audience of Gongqian Club thought that the dragon boat of Guan Wei Club was deliberately built with the "road" of Chinese fir, which made the boat lighter, and it was conducive to speeding up the rowing speed when the shallow water of Houjiang Bay approached the small wave waters, thus winning the shame.
As a result, the audience on both sides quarreled and cursed, then threw stones at each other and hurt each other.
In the afternoon, the leaders of the two sides went to the military and civilian government of South Australia's coastal defense in Shen 'ao to file a lawsuit. Fishermen from Guan Wei society came to Mazu Tempel to worship Mazu and pray for success.
At dawn the next day, someone found a woman's shoes in the muddy ditch of Yantian Road near Houjiangwan on the way to Shen 'ao at Tingwei, which seemed to be worn by Mazu at Tingwei. It's weird. He picked up his shoes and went to the temple to see Mazu's feet. He found that his left foot had no shoes, and his feet were still wet and covered with black mud. I think this shoe belongs to Mazu who went to Shenzhen last night to persuade Tongzhi Museum to handle the case fairly, and our lawsuit will definitely win.
Nearly noon, the master came back and reported the case as expected.
So, the villagers at the end of the museum made a big sacrifice to thank Mazu, and at the same time smashed the cup and asked Mazu if he would like to put this shoe back for her. If you can't fall into the Grail, you don't agree. He asked if he should wear cloth boots to cross the muddy road at night, but he lost the holy grail and agreed.
In this way, Mazu wore cloth boots on his left foot and cloth shoes on his right foot at the end of the museum, which was different from all Mazu inside and outside the island.
(3) Three generations of Mazu in Yun 'ao
In ancient times, Yun 'ao District brought a big wooden pillar from the mainland and carved a statue of Mazu for Mazu Tempel in Shanbian, Zhongzhu and Qian 'ao villages.
This wooden post has a big head and a small tail. If you want to carve it into three statues, there are big, medium and small ones. Which temple is large, medium and small? People in three villages are at loggerheads.
Someone suggested, "Come and break the cup. From the hillside, the pillar and the front of Australia, I threw a cup and asked Mazu who won the head, middle and tail, and I decided that it was not a fight. "
Everyone agrees. As a result of burning incense and smashing cups, the head belongs to Mazu on the hillside (whose temple is the smallest), the middle part belongs to Mazu on the pillar (whose temple is the largest), and the tail belongs to Mazu before Australia. Because the head is big, it is carved into a "hard body", that is, not only statues are carved on wood, but also rockhopper and clothes. The middle part is not big, so it is carved into a "soft body", that is, carved into a statue, and then covered with a rockhopper made of fine cloth such as silk. The tail is small and carved into a' soft body'. At the same time, Mazu, who is big on the hillside, is called "mother", Mazu in the pillar is called "daughter" and Mazu, who is small in front of Australia, is called "granddaughter".
Marriage between Mazu and Zhenjun
In Shen 'ao, the ancient town of Nan 'ao Island, when visiting Shen Jun Temple and Mazu Tempel during the Lunar New Year Lantern Festival, people who rode in sedan chairs with God always trotted by as usual. There was a light rain in front of Jun Temple in Roda Town, which was called "rain pollen", but there was often a cold wind before arriving in Mazu Tempel, which was called "wind blowing beard robe". There is a marriage myth between Mazu and Zhenjun:
One year, Mazu, a Minnan living in Shen 'ao, was engaged to Wu Zhenjun, a doctor of medicine. In the dead of winter that year, on the wedding day, Mazu was carried to the east gate of the town in a sedan chair. When he approached the Zhenjun Temple in the city, he overheard the shrill cry of sheep. He told the bearers to stop, gently lifted the red silk curtain and looked out. He saw a ewe lying on the side of the road, giving birth, bleeding from her lower body, tears in her eyes, trembling on her feet and suffering. This scene reminds her that after she gets married, she will have children and will not suffer this kind of pain again. I can't help feeling cold. So he retired and ordered the bearers to carry the sedan chair back to Mazu Tempel, which is five or six hundred meters northwest of here.
The Zhenjun Temple near the East Gate is decorated with lanterns and colorful lights, beaming with joy. The real emperor dressed up and listened to the bride's horn. The more he listened, the happier he became. I can't believe the music has stopped. Just about to find out, I saw the wedding guests in a panic, ran in and knelt down to report: "Your Majesty, it's not good! ..... "The bride changed her mind and said it again.
True gentleman listened, deeply shocked. Send subordinates to persuade Mazu not to get married. The real king was furious and waited for revenge.
The true gentleman's marriage failed, he was unhappy and lonely, and he gave his dream to the temple. The temple owner Zhu thought of a way to find a pair of male and female turtles and keep them in the temple as the heirs of the true king. I don't know how many years later, two turtles have grown to the size of buckets and bred a large group of offspring. They usually hide in the patios on both sides, and only Zhenjun climbs out of the hole on the third and half birthday of the lunar calendar. The world regards it as the embodiment of the true monarch, so when worshiping the true monarch, we must worship the old turtle and call the true monarch temple "turtle temple".
It is said that after marriage, the annual Lantern Festival comes again. There is a custom among deep Australians. After dinner that day, the local gods and incense burners, such as Mother Tian Xin, Ye, Ye, Zhenjun, Guandi and Mazu, were loaded with colorful sedan chairs, carried to the foot of Jinshan and gathered in front of the Town God Temple behind the town government. Then, according to the above order, beat gongs and drums, light lanterns and walk north along Guandi Temple.
This Lantern Festival is sunny and warm as spring. When Mazu was carried to the front of Zhenjun Temple, the weather suddenly changed and it began to rain. Today, the bearers were disappointed and had to carry them into the temple to avoid the rain. I didn't expect it to rain even harder, and Mazu had rain on his face. People don't know why. This is the real gentleman who made the rain and wanted to get rid of Mazu's rouge pollen. Then, when I continued to wander and carried Zhenjun's sedan chair to Mazu Tempel, a strong wind suddenly blew and cold air came. The sedan chairs were carried into the temple to take shelter from the wind. Unexpectedly, the wind was stronger, and the true gentleman's robes sounded and his beard danced. They were surprised and had to be carried out of the temple again. It turns out that this is Mazu's revenge for the wind-blown beard and robe.
On the Lunar New Year's Lantern Festival, when I passed two temples, the weather suddenly changed. Since then, every time the bearers pass through these two temples, they not only don't rest and perform as usual, but also dare not enter the temples to avoid the wind and rain. But ran past them, as usual, until today.
