If only the magistrate has no wife among the gatekeepers, you can marry your daughter to him without praise. If many gatekeepers don't have wives, only the county magistrate's character is outstanding, so only his daughter is married to the county magistrate, then Confucius should list his character when praising the county magistrate, instead of saying that he is "in prison". Why is this? Because there are many people who are forcibly acquitted in this world, but not all of them are saints. Many ordinary people are wronged, but the situation is different. If we must think that the magistrate was innocent and imprisoned and married his daughter, then Confucius would not marry his daughter to a saint, but only to a wronged person.
