Characteristic scenic spots in Tieling New District

The first national wetland park in northern China, Lotus Lake in early spring, is like an ink painting: yellow reeds, a quiet lake, and occasionally one or two gray magpies fly over the bushes. Although there are no swarms of migratory birds playing around, it is still beautiful and intoxicating. The author has approached this quiet wetland many times and recalled the scenery when I first arrived at Lianhua Lake: the blue sky and the blue lake are integrated, and the water and the sky are connected, which is beautiful; On the lake, oriental stork, heron and white? ? Heron and other migratory birds play and dance, showing a wonderful picture of birds living in harmony with nature! The reporter seems to understand why the ancients living in the wetland can describe the romantic feelings of "Guan Yu, in Hezhou, my fair lady, a good gentleman" in the Book of Songs, the harmony between life and nature, and the beauty and gentleness of this water area are unforgettable.

The above words only describe the corner of the Lotus Lake National Wetland Park that will be built soon. Lianhua Lake Wetland is located between the old and new urban areas of Tieling. It is called "five lakes and eight pits" in history, and its water surface is very broad. It mainly includes four parts: Deshengtai Reservoir, Wujiao Lake, Dalian Bubble and China-DPRK Friendship Reservoir. Historically, Lianhua Lake Wetland is surrounded by water on three sides, with Liaohe River in the west, Chaihe River in the north and Fanhe River in the south. It is the intersection of three rivers, belonging to northeast wetland and swamp wetland type. The total drainage area is 200 square kilometers. Due to the blind reclamation of farmland in history and the massive discharge of untreated urban sewage, the wetland area of Lianhua Lake has been greatly reduced, and now it is only 4.3 square kilometers.

It was learned from the Municipal Forestry Bureau that on April 26, 2007, the State Forestry Administration officially approved Tieling City to carry out the pilot work of Lianhuahu National Wetland Park. It is reported that this is the sixth national wetland park pilot project in China and the first national wetland park pilot project in northern China. It is also known that the Lotus Lake restoration project is an ecological construction project focusing on wetland restoration, boundary improvement, dredging, water supply and drainage, wetland population relocation, vegetation restoration, aquaculture and tourism. At present, this huge ecological restoration project is under way, and it will become a national wetland park in the near future.

The theme of this year's World Wetlands Day is "Healthy Wetlands, Healthy Humans". This theme is rich in connotation and significant, which profoundly reflects the close relationship between wetlands and human beings.

Wetlands are "kidney of the earth". Like forests and oceans, they are one of the most important life support systems on the earth, and play an irreplaceable role in maintaining global ecological balance, promoting sustainable economic and social development and ensuring human health. Therefore, protecting wetlands means protecting the earth on which we live, that is, protecting ourselves. Lotus Lake is located between the old and new urban areas, which can be described as the "kidney of the city" of Tieling.

Wetlands are "reservoirs" and "purifiers" of water resources. Wetlands have powerful hydrological regulation and circulation functions, which can effectively store and intercept precipitation and surface runoff and replenish groundwater. China wetland maintains about 2.7 trillion tons of fresh water, accounting for 96% of the total available fresh water resources in China. Wetlands also have powerful functions of degrading pollution and purifying water quality.

Wetlands are also a "species gene pool". Natural wetland is not only an excellent living place for aquatic animals and plants, but also a necessary habitat, migration place, wintering place and breeding place for many rare and endangered wild animals, especially waterfowl. Lianhuahu Wetland is rich in biology, with 237 species of plants and more than 200 species of wild animals, and only birds have 123 species. Natural wetlands also retain the genetic characteristics of many species, enabling many wild animals to survive and reproduce safely without interference.

Wetlands are also important "carbon pools" and "carbon absorbers". According to the estimation of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, there are about 2.48 trillion tons of carbon stored in the global terrestrial ecosystem, of which 500 billion tons are stored in peat wetlands, which account for less than 4% of the land area. The carbon storage of China swamp wetland reaches 4.7 billion tons, and the Zoige Plateau wetland alone has 65.438+0.9 billion tons.

Wetlands are also an important carrier for breeding and inheriting human civilization. Thousands of years ago, our ancestors "lived on weeds" and created brilliant human civilization in the long historical process of interdependence with wetlands. The Nile gave birth to ancient Egyptian civilization, the Euphrates and Tigris rivers gave birth to ancient Babylonian civilization, and the Yellow River gave birth to Chinese civilization. Wetland, with its unique aesthetic, educational, cultural and spiritual functions, has produced unique religions, folk customs, music and other cultures. Many lakes are sacred lakes for ethnic minorities and important places for religious activities. The four famous buildings in China are all located in or around wetlands, which have made many poems and songs that have been told through the ages.

She is so beautiful and so fragile. Lianhua Lake swamp wetland is undoubtedly the ecological treasure of Tieling City. If it is well protected, it will be a beautiful business card in Tieling city. If used reasonably and scientifically, it will play a key role in the development of local tourism. However, in recent years, the Lianhuahu swamp wetland in Tieling City has been destroyed due to reclamation and surface cofferdam fish culture, and various problems have attracted the attention of city leaders and relevant departments. Therefore, the protection and development of Lianhua Lake wetland construction has become another important measure to build a new city. According to the interview, Lianhua Lake wetland ecosystem is quite complete, the area ratio of water surface to reed is moderate, and biodiversity is guaranteed.

In 2007, the State Forestry Administration organized domestic experts in forestry, geography, ecology, biology, law, planning and management to inspect and evaluate the newly-built Tieling Lotus Lake Wetland Park project in Tieling City. Through on-the-spot investigation, consulting relevant materials, listening to reports and communicating with relevant departments, experts agree that the construction of Tieling Lianhua Lake Wetland Park will play an exemplary role in the protection and restoration of wetlands in Liaoning Province, the prevention and control of water pollution in Liaohe River, the utilization of urban tail water and the construction of new countryside. It is of great significance to protect the water ecological security in the middle and lower reaches of Liaohe River, especially in Shenyang, and to implement the ecological restoration strategy of the old industrial base in Northeast China. It can significantly improve the ecological characteristics and functions of Tieling wetland, restore the biodiversity of the wetland, improve the supporting capacity of Tieling's social and economic sustainable development, and improve the living environment in the surrounding areas. At the same time, the construction of Tieling Lianhuahu Wetland Park will further enrich the types of tourism resources in Liaoning Province, expand the space of "intellectual journey", form a combination of tourism resources integrating Lianhuahu Wetland, new rural construction and Tieling human landscape, improve the quality of regional tourism resources in Tieling and Shenyang, and enrich the regional tourism structure. Experts unanimously agreed to build Tieling Lotus Lake into a national wetland park.

The victory of Lianhua Lake is unique to water. Water is the soul of Lotus Lake, and 70% of the wetland area is covered with water. The whole wetland landscape is based on rich biological landscapes such as reeds, cattails, lotus flowers and waterfowl, and is characterized by rich humanistic landscapes and folk customs in Northeast China.

The scenery of Lianhua Lake lies in bird watching. Birds are the elves of wetlands and the yardstick to measure the natural ecological balance and environmental quality of wetlands. One of the eight scenic spots in Tieling is called "Panyue Lake", which refers to the Wujiao Lake in Lianhuahu Wetland Park. Every spring, it is a paradise for waterfowl, where dozens of species of birds inhabit and breed, and dozens of acres of Puwei stretch in the rippling blue waves, where waterfowl gather and swim in the brocade scales. Boating here at night is refreshing.

The beauty of Lotus Lake lies in the flowers. In addition to rows of willows, poplars, large areas of reeds and cattails, Lotus Lake is fresh and elegant. Every spring and summer, the lotus flowers are in full bloom and delicate and charming. In the rainy season or foggy weather in the morning, the clouds are lingering and the lotus flowers are looming in the smoke, attracting countless tourists to linger.

Wetland ecosystem is one of the three major ecosystems on earth, which has extremely high ecological benefits and can effectively store water and fight floods. It can purify sewage and adjust regional microclimate (such as temperature and humidity, rainfall, etc. ) and control soil erosion. Wetland supports rich biodiversity and can provide food, meat, medicinal materials and various industrial raw materials for human beings. Wetlands contain a lot of water resources, which can provide water for human production and life.

Restoring urban wetlands and building a garden city are effective ways to improve urban taste. In recent years, the urban construction of Tieling City has advanced by leaps and bounds, but people gradually find that the characteristics of many cities are disappearing, forming some unexpected characteristics, such as air and water pollution. The construction of Lianhua Lake wetland will organically integrate wetland waterscape, wetland flora and fauna landscape, wetland culture, wetland microclimate and urban functions, which will greatly improve the urban environment, improve the urban environmental capacity and ecological security level. It is a great event for the people of the whole city to skillfully combine the functions of wetlands and modern cities to build a garden city with fresh air and fragrant flowers.

Tieling Lianhua Lake National Wetland Park, covering an area of 4,226 hectares, is a composite wetland type of artificial ponds, paddy fields, rivers and shallow lakes. It used to have a water network structure with lakes and bubbles interlaced. The composite structure is representative in Northeast China, and the wetland nature of the park soil structure, biota and its ecological process is obvious. The wetland landscape features are remarkable, and the wetland ecosystem structure is basically complete. Wetland Park belongs to Liaohe River system, located in the flood plain area between Liaohe River and its tributaries, Chaihe River and Fanhe River. It will play an exemplary role in wetland protection and restoration, water pollution prevention and control in Liaohe River, urban tail water utilization and new rural construction, which is of great significance to the implementation of the ecological restoration strategy of the old industrial base in Northeast China. Wetland park has a variety of cultural tourism resources in northern Liaoning, such as wetland natural landscape, northeast folk customs, black land farming culture, revolutionary memorial sites, etc. It has formed a combination of tourism resources integrating Lianhuahu wetland, new rural construction and Tieling human landscape, enriching the regional tourism structure.

Restore urban wetlands, cherish history and culture, protect cultural heritage, and build ecological civilization to a higher level. If the wetland ecosystem is a life network, then the city is the starting point of the development of human civilization in this life network. To restore urban wetlands, we must fully respect the history of the city and its relationship with wetlands, enhance our understanding of the importance of natural heritage from the excavation and re-understanding of cultural heritage, and at the same time promote the inheritance of cultural heritage through the protection of natural heritage, so that wetlands, a shrinking oasis and a paradise for human beings, can be protected, utilized and developed at the same time in both nature and humanity, and promote each other in this process.
