Matters needing attention in driving in foggy weather

Driving in foggy days mainly pays attention to the following points:

1, use lighting correctly. Driving in foggy weather has low visibility. Fog lights and position lights must be turned on, and high beam lights are prohibited. Because the high beam shines upward, the light emitted is diffused by fog, forming a vast expanse of whiteness in front of the car, which affects driving instead. Fog lights have very high transmittance, which is better than taillights. After turning on the fog lights, other car owners can clearly identify the vehicle.

2. Control the speed. There is a legal speed limit for driving in foggy days, as follows:

When the visibility is less than 500 meters and more than 200 meters, the speed shall not exceed 80 kilometers per hour; When the visibility is less than 200m and greater than100m, the speed shall not exceed 60km/h; When the visibility is less than 100 meters and more than 50 meters, the speed shall not exceed 40 kilometers per hour; When the visibility is within 30m, the vehicle speed should be controlled below 20km; When the visibility is about 10m, the speed should be controlled below 5km.

Keep a safe distance from the car in front, don't follow too close, and don't overtake casually. This is mainly to prevent rear-end collision due to insufficient reaction time when an accident occurs (emergency braking of the preceding vehicle).

Always press the car horn to indicate your position.
