The origin of xiaoyaojin's name

Xiaoyaojin was officially named 1953.

In the 20th year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 2 15), Sun Quan and Cao Cao competed for Hefei, and the battle of xiaoyaojin broke out in xiaoyaojin. Dou Ziluo, a bureaucrat in Ming Dynasty, took xiaoyaojin as his own and renamed him "Dou Chijia".

During Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty, Wang Xing Hanlin renamed xiaoyaojin as "Duckfighting Pool". During Guangxu period, Gong and Gong's private garden were the owners. Palace Zhao Xin, Doo Yin, xiaoyaojin changed its name to "Doo leafpool".

From 65438 to 0949, after the founding of New China, the people's government gradually turned xiaoyaojin into a park and expanded Jijia Garden to the west of xiaoyaojin. 1953, officially named after "xiaoyaojin". 1955, reconstruction of xiaoyaojin and expansion of xiaoyaojin West Park.

Architectural layout of xiaoyaojin: The plane of xiaoyaojin Park is fan-shaped, and the whole park is naturally divided into two gardens by water system. It covers an area of 3 1.3 hectares, including water surface 1 1.2 hectares. Xiaoyao Lake accounts for about 40% of the whole park area. There are three islands on the lake, of which the North Island is the largest and the South Island is the smallest. There are bridges in xiaoyaojin, such as Du Jinqiao, Beijin Bridge, Nanjin Bridge and Qi Fei Bridge, which run through the scenic spots.

The south gate of xiaoyaojin Park is an antique door with a height of nearly 10 meter, three bays and an archway. Above the gate, an antique plaque reads "Ancient xiaoyaojin" in four gold-plated Chinese characters, written by Lu Runxiang, a top scholar in Qing Dynasty.
