According to the latest statistics of Hunan Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, there are 3.54 million mu of crops affected by drought in Hunan Province, and 230,000 people and 48,000 large livestock have temporary drinking water difficulties due to drought. At present, Changde, Zhangjiajie and other places have launched emergency response to drought, and ensured drinking water and irrigation water for people in dry areas as much as possible by means of water search, water saving, water control, water conveyance and artificial precipitation enhancement.

Meteorological monitoring data show that from July 3 to August 7, the cumulative rainfall in Hunan Province was 76.6 mm, which was 55% less than the average of 170. 1 mm in the same period of previous years. Among them, the rainfall in Huaihua, Yiyang, Loudi, Xiangtan, Changde and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is 60% to 80% less than normal.

Among the four major rivers in Hunan and Dongting Lake, the measured water levels at Zishui, Shui Yuan, Lishui and Dongting Lake control stations are all lower than the average of the same period in previous years. According to the statistics on the 7th, the water level of Chenglingji Station in Dongting Lake is 26.59 meters, which is 2.62 meters lower than the average in the same period of the previous year. The total storage capacity of nine major large reservoirs, such as Wuqiangxi and Zhexi, was 65.438+0.308 billion cubic meters, a decrease of 65.438+00.2% compared with the same period of last year.

At present, the hot weather is still going on. According to the monitoring of meteorological department, the highest temperature in 80 counties (cities, districts) in Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Changde, Yongzhou, Yiyang and other cities exceeded 37 degrees Celsius from July 7 to 8, among which the highest temperature in Yiyang, Mayang and Hanshou exceeded 39 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperature in the whole province appeared in Zhangjiajie, reaching 40.5 degrees Celsius.

The Hunan Meteorological Observatory predicts that there will be two rainstorm weather processes in Hunan Province in the near future. If the rainfall is heavy, it is expected to alleviate the meteorological drought in the province.

This summer is hotter than in previous years, resulting in serious water shortage in some places.
