Which parts of Britain have been hit by heavy rain?

The British Met Office issued a yellow rainstorm warning for London, southeast, southwest, Wales and West Midlands from 4 pm on May 3 1 to 6 am on June 1. Heavy rains hit a large area of Britain, causing flooding and traffic disruption, accompanied by extreme thunderstorms, which may cause "life-threatening".

The weather bureau warned that frequent lightning and heavy hail may also occur. Floods in houses and shops are likely to occur, and they may happen soon, causing damage to some buildings hit by floods, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds. In case of flood or lightning, trains, buses and aviation services are likely to be cancelled and stopped. There may be power outages, and other services in some houses and shops may be interrupted.

Yellow warning is mainly issued when the weather may have little impact, such as travel interruption, or the certainty of serious impact is reduced. The yellow warning is issued mainly because of the increased possibility of bad weather, including travel delays, road and railway closures, power outages and "potential risks to life and property".
