Where is Qingshuihai?

Clear as a mirror, the waves are calm, and it is named Qingshui Sea because it is not confused when it rains. Rainbow trout and golden trout are cultured in cold and clear sea water. It's very pleasant to stay in the seaside restaurant and watch seafood sashimi.

Qingshuihai is located at the west of Rende Town 14 km in Xundian Hui and Yi Autonomous County, Kunming City. It is named because the water depth is blue, although it can't be turbid after rain. In ancient times, there lived a big family named Che by the lake, also called Che Lake. Also because it is located in the west of Xundian County, it is called West Lake. According to records, one night 230 years ago, a strong earthquake occurred in Xundian area, and the earth river gushed out from the gap in the valley, engulfing the surrounding mountains and rivers, forming this lake and flooding a village. It is said that trees and houses in the sea can be seen on sunny days. Qingshuihai is a karst lake in the plateau fault depression, with a total water area of 33.4 square kilometers and a maximum water depth of 32.8 meters. The lake is mainly replenished by lake surface precipitation and groundwater, and there is no major river injection. The effluent flows northeast near Haiwei Village on the north bank, and the north is called Gongshan River, which is the east source of Xiaojiang and belongs to Jinsha River system. Qingshui Sea is rectangular, about 5 kilometers long from north to south, about 1.6 kilometers wide from east to west, and the lake area is 7 square kilometers. The lakeshore is straight, with coastline length of 13.3km and storage capacity of1.10.80 billion cubic meters. The main irrigation water sources in Xundian County are lake water, Shengli Canal excavated at 1956, 2,976-meter tunnel and east-west main canal built at 1972, which irrigates Jinsuoba and Yangjieba15,600 mu of farmland. 1979 to build a hydropower station with an installed capacity of 320kW. Due to the large amount of irrigation water, the water level of the lake drops rapidly, and the water level drops by 9.25 meters due to the distribution of limestone on the northeast bank of the lake. Fortunately, various measures have been taken to divert water into the lake, so that this plateau lake still maintains a complete style and has unprecedented beauty. Now, Qingshuihai has become a breeding base for red trout. Eating fresh red trout in Qingshuihai has become a fashion for Kunming people, and it also provides a good place for urbanites to have fun.
