Planting method of Hetian jujube

1, growth conditions:

If you want to plant Hetian jujube well, you need to know the growth habits of Hetian jujube first. Hotan jujube is a fruit tree that likes warm environment. Mainly distributed in mountainous, hilly or plain areas below the altitude of 1800 meters in China. The growth of Hetian jujube needs high temperature. The annual average temperature of its growing environment needs to be around 16℃, and the germination temperature of Hetian jujube buds is between 12℃ and 15℃, and the temperature of branches and leaves is relatively high when they grow, bloom and bear fruit. The temperature during flowering needs to be above 22 degrees. Therefore, the temperature during this period is between 16 and 22 degrees. Therefore, we should carefully control the change of environmental temperature when planting. The fruit trees of Hetian jujube have strong drought resistance, waterlogging resistance and barren tolerance, but if the air humidity is not enough during flowering, it is not conducive to fruit pollination. At the same time, the fruit of Hetian jujube will be blown off in windy weather, so it is best to plant Hetian jujube in the leeward.

2. Planting method:

After selecting jujube seedlings, we should choose the land for garden construction. It is best to choose a place with open and flat terrain, good soil drainage and permeability, fertile soil and no pollution for early planting. When planting in hills or mountains, it should be planted in sunny places with deep soil layers.

3. Breeding and cultivation:

There are many propagation methods of Hetian jujube, such as grafting, cutting, rooting, rooting and seedling raising. Generally, when planting grafted seeds, we must first ensure that the scion is bright and the section of the scion is flat. Then the cambium of scion and rootstock should be aligned and tied tightly. The whole grafting step should be completed as soon as possible, at the same time, the soil and seedlings should be kept moist during the whole grafting process, and the rootstock should be watered six or seven days before grafting. When cultivated, Hetian jujube can be dwarfed and densely planted, and the plant spacing is about two meters. This method is more suitable for Hetian jujube varieties with early fruiting and small tree shape. Varieties with large trees and late fruits can also be intercropped, and the row spacing can be 89 meters. Plant at a spacing of about three or four meters. While planting other crops at an early stage.

4. Fertilizer and water management

In May and June, according to the rainfall situation, water the jujube trees every half month to try to keep the seedlings full of water. After July, about half a catty of fertilizer can be applied to each jujube hole, and foliar fertilizer can be applied every half month after the seedlings begin to grow leaves to promote the growth of branches and leaves.

5, pruning method:

Pruning of jujube trees in Hotan is usually carried out in winter. At this time, there are many dead branches growing on jujube trees in winter, which is very unfavorable to the growth of jujube trees in Hotan in the coming year. But at this time, jujube trees in Hotan are dormant and their growth basically stagnates. Pruning at this time will not have a great impact on the fruit trees. At the same time, when fruit trees grow vigorously in summer, proper pruning can avoid unnecessary nutrient loss. Generally, it is not pruned when planting, and then slowly pruned when the fruit trees grow to a certain height.
