How do people express the poet's thoughts and feelings by sending Toure's appendix every day?
On this day, I wrote a poem to Du Fu to Chengdu Caotang, where I miss you and cherish our common hometown.
Wicker is ugly, plum blossoms are full of branches and heartbroken!
Being in Nanfan, I have no expectations and am full of worries and troubles.
This year, everyone remembers the sky. Next year, where will everyone know?
I've been lying in Dongshan for thirty years, and I'm afraid the books and swords are old and dusty.
The Dragon Bell returned 2,000 stones, which is really a shame for people in East, West, North and South!
This is the most touching poem of Gao Shi in his later years. When Du Fu received this poem, he even "read the end of the last article with tears between the lines" ("Serving the People of Gaoshu Prefecture").
This homesick poem for friends is touching because it is full of specific historical content and closely links personal experience with the destiny of the country. Gao Shi and Du Fu became like-minded friends as early as the end of Kaiyuan, and they were also down and out. Since the Anshi Rebellion, Gao Shi has participated in important strategies in front of Xuanzong and Su Zong and has been appreciated. His situation is much better than Du Fu's. He served as our special envoy in Huainan and put down the rebellion in Yongwanglin. Because of "speaking out in anger", he was slandered by Li, the minister of the interior, and was relieved of his military power and stayed in Tokyo. In the second year of Gan Yuan (759), it was published as the secretariat of Pengzhou. At the end of the same year, Du Fu immigrated and arrived in Chengdu. Gao Shishou immediately sent poems from Pengzhou to ask questions and gave food as a gift. In the first year of Shangyuan (760), Gao Shi was appointed as the secretariat (now Chongqing, Sichuan), and Du Fu hurried to visit from Chengdu. At this time, Gao Shi will be 60 years old and Du Fu will be 50 years old. When we meet an old friend in a foreign country, a short party will deepen our lovesickness. One day in the second year of Shang Yuan, Gao Shi wrote this poem and sent it to Chengdu Caotang.
The whole poem is divided into three paragraphs with every four sentences as a paragraph. In every rhyme change, the beginning is flat rhyme, the middle is light rhyme, and the last paragraph is flat rhyme.
"People send poems to the thatched cottage every day", and when you open a sentence, you go straight to the point. The two words "cherish the old people who miss their hometown" and "cherish" are the words to express their feelings, and the whole article revolves around this word. "Homesickness" comes not only from myself, but also from Du Fu's view that the devastated Central Plains is also his hometown. Secondly, "the wicker is ugly and the plum blossom is full of branches and heartbroken", which is a concrete description of this homesickness. Spring has come, willow leaves are sprouting and plum blossoms are in full bloom, which should be refreshing, but in the hearts of wanderers in different places, it is always easy to arouse homesickness, which makes people "unbearable" and "heartbroken" at first sight and can't help it.
The middle four sentences are poetic expansion and deepening, uneven and melancholy, but also like a ship in the sea, drifting with the tide, involuntary uncertainty and frustration, complicated feelings. The change of rhyme is in harmony with the content.
"Being in Nanfan and unprepared, I am worried." "premeditated" means participating in state affairs. At that time, the country was in great difficulties and the war was still going on. Literati and martial arts are all excellent, and they should have participated in court affairs and made great achievements, but they are far away in Beijing and are numerous in the south. Despite this, the poet's patriotic enthusiasm has not diminished, and in the face of turbulent times, he naturally "cares about the country and the people." At that time, not only the Anshi Rebellion was rampant in the Central Plains, but also the situation in central Sichuan was not calm. Two or three months after this poem was written, there was a rebellion in Zizhou, the secretariat of Zizhou. This kind of "worry" is also a reflection of the difficulties of the times. Du Fu's "Rewarding the Tree Man": "Sighing my sadness and looking for friends, feeling depressed and unintentional" is a profound understanding of Gao Shi's complex feelings.
"This year, people will miss the sky, and next year, people will know where it is", which means they are coming from all kinds of troubles. When they are in troubled times, they will be strangers in other places. At this time of this year, their lovesickness has disappeared. Where will they be next year? How do we predict? The depth of this concern and far-reaching concern show that this country is difficult and ambitious. In the deep mourning, how much sadness is hidden inside!
Looking ahead, I feel very uncertain. Looking back, why did everything have to be decided? This naturally leads to the last paragraph. "I have been lying in Dongshan for 30 years, and I don't know that the book sword is old." In his early years, the poet was an invisible fisherman (left). Although his life is hard, he is also very leisurely and comfortable. How did he know that he failed to live up to his book sword today and was old in his official career? "The Dragon Bell returned 2,000 stones, and you are ashamed of people from east, west, north and south!" This means that I am old, exhausted, humiliated in the position of secretariat, the country has done nothing, and I am ashamed of my wandering friends. The connotation of this "shame" is rich, which includes not only one's loneliness and anger, but also deep concern for the situation of friends. This "shame" is even more obvious. The two have a deep friendship and know each other very well.
This poem, there is no gorgeous and dazzling words, and there is no deliberately carved epigram. Only simple and natural language, heartfelt feelings run through the whole article. Melodious tones convey the ups and downs of feelings well. A masterpiece like this, "Hold out your chest, bandits are close to the history of books", can be regarded as a descendant of the Han and Wei Dynasties.
