What do the first two digits of the mobile phone number mean?

As we all know, China Telecom did not separate its mobile postal service before, and the postal resources were uniformly dispatched by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (now the Ministry of Information Industry). When allocating the number segment, we made some detailed planning, which is roughly like this:

Telecom service numbers starting with 10, such as 103 international semi-automatic registration, 108 international collect call, 1000 telecom service center,100/Unicom service center, etc.

1 1 begins with a special service number, such as 1 1 Fei Jing,11telecom internal test, 1 12 maintenance service,/kloc-0. 1 16 domestic manual remote inquiry, 1 17 time report, 1 19 fire alarm, etc.

At the beginning of 12, give civil special numbers, such as 120 (hospital), 12 1 (weather forecast), 122 traffic accident alarm, 126,1.

Therefore, when assigned to mobile phone users, the number segment starts with 13. Later, 130~ 133 was designated as Unicom, and 134~ 139 was designated as Mobile.

Other special segment numbers are:

16, voice communication, such as 160 China Telecom employee information service access code, 166 voice mail service, 167 Jitong computer internet service access code, 168 voice communication service, China Telecom public multimedia network access code, etc.

17, long-distance telephone services, such as 170 domestic automatic long-distance telephone inquiry desk, 173 domestic vertical long-distance semi-automatic registration desk, 176 domestic long-distance semi-automatic inquiry desk, 177 domestic semi-automatic monitoring desk, 179IP voice service access.

18, some service desks, such as 180 postal service, 184 postal code query access code, 185 national post office telephone information service access code, 186 mobile service center, 188 fixed telephone payment desk,/kloc.

19, paging access, 19 1 Unicom radio manual paging access code, 192 Unicom radio automatic paging access code and so on.

20, 30, calling card service

In addition, the numbers starting with 8 and 9 are also used as telecom and civil service numbers.

All the above figures are assigned, and there are too many details not listed. At present, some numbers have been upgraded, such as telecom service desk, weather forecast, postal service desk and so on.
