How to wax floors

1. Choose waxing in sunny weather

If the humidity is too high in rainy days, waxing will cause white turbidity.

When the room temperature is below 5 degrees, the floor wax will harden.

Do not use rags containing chemicals to wipe the floor before waxing, as this will cause poor adhesion of the floor wax.

2. Remove garbage and dirt from the floor surface

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove garbage and dust from the floor surface.

Use diluted neutral detergent to wipe the stains on the floor.

For stains that are difficult to remove, wipe with water.

To prevent detergent from accumulating in the groove, the rag soaked in detergent should be wrung out as much as possible.

Floor wax removers will cause stains and bulging on the floor and should never be used.

3. Wipe with a wrung-out rag

Use a wrung-out rag to wipe.

The floor surface, especially the grooves, must be wiped carefully without leaving any detergent residue.

Residual detergent and moisture will cause the surface to turn white and bulge.

4. Full drying

Waxing can only be done after the moisture on the floor surface and grooves is completely dry. The time required varies depending on the season, but it usually takes more than half a day.

If it is not fully dried, the floor wax will not adhere tightly to the floor surface, affecting the appearance and causing whitening.

5. Waxing method

Shake the container containing floor wax and stir thoroughly.

Before waxing the entire floor of the room, conduct a partial trial in an inconspicuous place such as the corner of the room to confirm whether there are any abnormalities.

To prevent floor wax from contaminating wall skirting lines and furniture, cover the above areas with tape.

Use a clean rag to fully soak the floor wax so that it does not drip.

Do not pour floor wax directly on the floor, otherwise it will cause stains and circles.

Apply carefully according to the direction of the wood grain of the floor, without missing or uneven thickness.

Applying too little will cause uneven shade, and applying too much will lead to poor film formation.

Maintaining uniform thickness is the key to waxing.

Do not dilute with water
