Is the cold front rainfall before or after the front?

The cold front rainfall is behind the front, and the warm front rainfall is before the front. A cold front is what people often call a cold air front. It is Depth Charge with cold air heading south, and it is the most common weather system that affects China, especially in winter.

Every few days in winter, a cold air invades the inland from northwest and north China. When the cold front crosses the border, it will be accompanied by the increase of northerly wind, the increase of air pressure and the decrease of temperature, which will sometimes cause rain and snow and even cause heavy rain in summer. Generally, after the cold front crosses the border, the local area will be controlled by cold high pressure, and the weather will become sunny.

The weather conditions of cold front can be roughly divided into two types:

The first type: the cold front moves slowly and has a small slope, which is in front of the 700 HPA trough in the air, and is usually called the first type of cold front. This type of cold front, because the cold air mass moves forward on the one hand, makes the warm air mass in front of the front move forward on the one hand, and is forced to slide upward along the front on the other hand. When the water vapor condition is sufficient, cloud system and precipitation will be generated on the front.

The second type: the cold front moves quickly and has a large slope. It is often called the second type of cold front behind the trough at 700 HPA or near the trough line. The cold advection above this cold front is strong and the airflow sinks. Only the warm air near the ground front is lifted, but the front has a large slope and a strong airflow moves upward.
