How many tourists does Wutai Mountain receive every day?
As of February 2023, it is limited to 30,000 people.
As of June 27th, 2023, Wutai Mountain tourists must make an appointment 1 day in advance, with a daily limit of 30,000 people, and make an appointment in five time periods. If the number of people entering the mountain reaches the upper limit within the specified time period, the system will automatically allocate it to the next time period. If all time periods reach the upper limit on the same day, the reservation will be stopped.
Wutai Mountain, located in the northeast of Wutai County, Shanxi Province, is the first of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. Because it is surrounded by five peaks, it is called Wutai Mountain.
