Human geography and climatic conditions in Kami city
Hami is located in the hinterland of mid-latitude Eurasia. Because the Tianshan Mountains run through the central part of the region, the south and north sides of the mountains are mostly deserts and Gobi, and most of the urban area of Hami is mainly located in Hami Basin.
Hami soil is divided into 13 soil types, 3 1 subclass and 39 soil genera. Among them, Gobi plain is divided into chernozem, meadow soil, gray forest soil, subalpine meadow soil and alpine ice waterlogged soil, while irrigation soil, fluvo-aquic soil, chestnut soil and brown calcium soil are mainly distributed in cultivated land.
Hami is a typical temperate continental arid climate with a large temperature difference between day and night. There is a folk saying that "wear a fur coat in the morning, gauze in the afternoon and eat watermelon around the stove at night". In municipal districts outside mountainous areas, the annual maximum daily range is 26.7℃, the annual extreme maximum temperature is 43.9℃, and the annual extreme minimum temperature is -32℃. [5]
