What is the magic mirror in Firefox? What's the use?

Firefox browser recently launched the China version, creating a "magic mirror" sidebar. Don't underestimate this sidebar. It makes full use of the current widescreen display mode and brings a lot of entertainment content, including playing music, TV, weather, shopping and so on. Moreover, online videos and pictures can be collected in the magic mirror for later appreciation. The switch of the "magic mirror" is a Firefox icon behind the search box. Clicking on it will display the sidebar on the right side of the browser. Let's see what magic this "magic mirror" has.

Collect web pages and label them with pictures.

When you see a group of good pictures and want to collect this webpage, just drag a picture from the webpage to the "magic mirror" column on the right side of the browser, and this picture and its webpage will be collected by the magic mirror. When you need to open the webpage where this picture is located in the future, just double-click the picture, and then click the "Link" button above after the picture is expanded to open its webpage (as shown in figure 1). Of course, this picture tag is not only used for collecting websites, but also for collecting pictures. If you find some favorite pictures while browsing the web, you just need to drag them into the "magic mirror" and save them. Online video, drag it into the magic mirror and play it.

There is also a good video playing function in "Magic Mirror", with which you can collect all your favorite online videos and play them here. When we open online videos such as Ku6, Tudou and Youku, we can find a "drag" button on the right edge of the video. Just click and hold it, and then drag it to the video label of the magic mirror, and you can collect it. For the video collected in the "magic mirror", we can play it directly in the magic mirror, so we can browse the web and enjoy the video in the magic mirror on the right, which is very convenient (Figure 2).

There are other entertainment functions in the "magic mirror", such as music player, TV broadcast, Taobao shopping, stock, weather forecast and so on. These functions commonly used in our daily life can be experienced here, just click on the corresponding labels.

If you don't want to use some of these functions, you can hide them, click the "Application Configuration" button on the tab, remove the check in front of the unnecessary items in the pop-up panel, click the "OK" button, and then restart the browser to take effect (as shown in Figure 3).

This time, the China version of Firefox has other practical functions besides the unique function of magic mirror, such as adding a lot of dazzling browser styles.
