Smoke coming from underground in mining area
Longhu.com reported that at around 8 o'clock yesterday morning, when Mr. Kong, who lives near Mufu Mountain, asked a friend to climb the mountain for exercise, he discovered that the northwest half of Mufu Mountain was filled with white fog, and There is a faint smell of sulfur.
"How come there is such a huge white mist on the hillside of Shogun Mountain?" Mr. Kong was very surprised at the time. The white mist was obviously not clouds in the sky, but sprayed directly from the hillside. "No, there's a fire on Shogunate Mountain!" But when Mr. Kong ran to the hillside, he found that the white mist was not the smoke from the fire on the mountain, but streams of white mist sprayed from the cracks in the rocks. You could hear it if you lowered your head and listened carefully. Mr. Kong was amazed by the sound coming from the cracks in the rock.
According to the staff of Mufu Mountain Scenic Area, many citizens have come to Mufu Mountain for mountain climbing and exercise since October, and no white fog has been found halfway up the hillside. Now that the weather is getting colder, these white mists have risen eight or nine meters into the air, so the hillside is shrouded in this white mist. There are more than a dozen places with white mist on the mountain. If you put your hand into the cracks in the rocks, you can feel that the white mist is hot, about 40 degrees Celsius.
Master Liu, who used to work in the dolomite mine, said that this phenomenon occurs every year on Mufu Mountain. The white mist is warm and a bit hot if it is close to the cracks in the rocks. This phenomenon generally only occurs in winter. The colder the weather, the higher the white mist will spray. The vegetation in the cracks in the rocks filled with white mist is very special. There are dry yellow grasses nearby, but only here there is green moss, which is tender and thick. The white fog spraying on the hillside of Mt. Shogun is completely caused by natural causes, most likely caused by geothermal heat.
Hope it helps you
