What's the difference between cumulus and stratocumulus?
Cumulus: It belongs to the family of direct spread clouds and can be divided into three types: light cumulus, dense cumulus and broken cumulus. Light cumulus clouds are cumulus clouds formed when convection is not very strong, much like steamed bread. There is a saying in the agricultural proverb called "steamed bread clouds, sunny days". Cumulus is a very thick cumulus, which is huge and towering at the mature stage. Broken cumulus is broken cumulus.
Stratocumulus: belonging to the low cloud family, it looks like fog, but it doesn't touch the ground. If it is connected to the ground, it is called fog. Stratocumulus is the lowest cloud, with occasional light rain and light snow, which often covers hillsides and tall buildings.
Yuyun: nimbostratus belongs to the low cloud family. It is formed by thickening of high-level clouds, often dark gray, evenly layered and covered all day, which can reduce continuous precipitation and belongs to warm front cloud system.
