3. Qinghai Lake

Qinghai Lake is also known as "Cowenbu", which means "blue sea" in Tibetan. It is located in the Qinghai Lake Basin in the northwest of Qinghai Province. It is both the largest inland lake and the largest saltwater lake in China. It was formed by the collapse of faults between Datong Mountain, Riyue Mountain in Qilian Mountains and Nanshan Mountain in Qinghai. In the Northern Wei Dynasty, the circumference of Qinghai Lake was said to be thousands of miles. In the Tang Dynasty, it was 400 kilometers, and during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, it was reduced to 350 kilometers. There are ancient lake embankment ruins about 20 kilometers from the front edge of the Buha River Delta. Chahan City (built in the Han Dynasty), 25 kilometers away from the east bank of the lake, was originally on the lakeside. The east and west sides have retreated by 25 kilometers and 20 kilometers respectively, and the water level has dropped by about 100 meters. Qinghai Lake is oval in shape with a circumference of more than 300 kilometers.

Erhai Lake is the location of "Erhai Moon", one of the four scenic spots of "Wind, Flowers, Snow and Moon" in Dali. 5. Mutianyu Great Wall

The Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huairou County, northeast of Beijing. This section of the Great Wall connects Juyongguan in Changping County, Beijing, to the west, and Miyun County, Beijing, to the east. Gubeikou has been a military hub to protect Beijing since ancient times and is known as "Dangerous Pass". As early as 1,400 years ago, the Northern Qi Dynasty built the Great Wall at Mutianyu. It was rebuilt in the early years of the Ming Dynasty, and "Mutianyu Pass" was built in the second year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1404 AD). In the third year of Longqing (1569 AD), when Tan Lun and Qi Jiguang were guarding the capital, they repaired the Great Wall on the basis of the early Ming Dynasty. The Great Wall that we see now preserved and restored in Mutianyu was built in the Ming Dynasty and is the best preserved among the Ming Dynasty Great Wall relics in the country.
