The first medal in life

I never thought that the first medal in life would be won in this way. When the host announced that our group won the second place, the group in front had already passed the gold medal, received the silver medal, hung it around their necks, and looked at it carefully with both hands holding the medal. Oh, it was a bit heavy. The medals are made of fine workmanship, not bought at random, but specially made for this celebration. At first glance, they look very attentive.

Several people stood in a row and took several photos with medals in different postures. After coming down, they couldn't put it down for several times and kept saying, this is my first time to win a medal! I have lived for most of my life, and I have never had a chance to win a medal. I didn't expect to win a silver medal today, which is a bit unexpected. This medal has luck in it, but it is more about showing strength.

December 6th, 219 is a Saturday. It's snowing in Chu Qing, and the weather is good. Get up in the morning, fry the jiaozi cooked yesterday in a little oil, put it in a square glass plate, cover it, and put it in a bag with heat preservation material. Clean up, get dressed and wait for Eamily to pick me up and go to our sixth anniversary celebration of Fire Phoenix. The activity is held in the form of potluck. Everyone brings a piece of food, and performances and games are interspersed. You can eat and play. Think about it!

When we arrive at the meeting place, the volunteers in the reception group are already at work. Please sign up and draw a table number according to the specified procedure. At first glance, in the first group, because they are all randomly drawn, I don't know who to share a table with. Forget it. Let's volunteer in the food group in charge. Angela wore a new apron with a Christmas pattern, and she put one next to me. When I saw that it looked good as a decoration, I didn't want to wear it, so I put it on the table as a decoration. Angela is decorating the dining table with small decorations brought from home. There are several small pine towers under the green pine tree, wearing a red Santa Claus puppet, golden chocolate balls and red and green decorations on the table, and a thick Christmas atmosphere will be there.

after 1 o'clock, everyone arrived one after another. Long time no see, hug and say hello. I put the food brought by everyone here according to the types, watching the dazzling array of delicious food carefully prepared by everyone, and then looking at each beautifully dressed smiling face, my heart is warm.

when the host announced the start of the get-together and invited the volunteers to take their places, I met all the people at our table. All of them were elite soldiers and strong men, and there was a show. Two people who signed up for the individual talent show were at our table, as well as skilled and powerful players, and Angela, a volunteer from our food group, was also assigned to this group. It was absolutely luck that everyone was drawn together. Xiao Ge, the general planner of this event, designed the scoring system for the gala, which is both interesting and participatory, and can not only highlight individual talents but also play a team spirit. I don't know where the flowers will fall and who will win the medals until the last minute.

At the beginning of the celebration, the members of the Fire Phoenix Art Troupe performed programs, including Qin Liu's ensemble, all of them were dignified, elegant, fresh, refined, sweet and lovely, and they were very proud of their wonderful performances. Seeing this glorious side of sisters, who would have thought that they had suffered from illness and were forced to remove one or two female symbols, leaving striking scars on their chests. Suffering from all kinds of pain and discomfort caused by chemotherapy and radiotherapy, my face was swollen and my hair fell off, I had to shave my hair, and I looked listless and haggard when I put on my wig and hat. In just a few years, sisters, like a phoenix reborn from the fire, ushered in a new self, full of energy, brave and indomitable, determined and independent, and laughed brilliantly at life.

The talent show of our group started with Betty's solo dance. When I saw Betty, I noticed her red dress. Betty said that this year is her fifth birth year, an important year of her life, and the sixth year of her freshman year, which is the same as the Fire Phoenix. She will participate in the celebration with great prosperity. Wearing red trousers black boots, she dances gracefully, and I am amazed! I didn't expect Betty to have talent in this field. In previous activities, I only saw Betty taking photos for everyone, collecting a lot of materials, and editing them into videos to record the wonderful moments of the fire phoenix. Now look at her on the stage, singing with her Qin Liu ensemble, her solo and her, and being circled by Betty. Betty, you are such a treasure woman. What else can't you do?

Claire appeared in white clothes and trousers, which was quite a bit like sage like type, and performed a Tai Chi fan. I still remember last year's party, when she wore Dai girls' costumes and suona solo "Pteris in the Moonlight". I don't know when she learned Tai Chi fan again, and she also formed her own band, volunteering to perform in places such as the old people's home to bring joy to everyone. In addition to the individual talent show, the team project is also an important scoring project. Claire plays suona, and the people in our group dance with her in the back. I also clumsily stretch my right leg for a while and my left leg for our collective honor.

We have taken the lead in talent show, but there are still several games with uncertain scores. Teamwork is needed in the game. Skill-based games, such as table tennis with chopsticks and rubber bands with straws, are well coordinated. Although they are not the first, they all scored in the top three. I took the time to look at our achievements, and it is possible to win the gold medal. Tug of war is the last project left. I looked at the people in our group. They are not fragile sister Lin. There is still some strength. We are fighting for collective honor!

The tug-of-war started. One second, I thought victory was in sight, and the next second, I was severely attacked by the other side. Before I knew it, I was dragged to the ground, and several people in front of me fell to the ground. Betty, who is standing in the first place, said that there was a tactical mistake. I thought it might be powerful to squat down, but I didn't expect the center of gravity to be too low. Rope? One-sided but brought people down, sorry for everyone's fall. Everyone says we tried our best, and it doesn't matter whether we win or not. It's about participation. The floor is smooth, the leather shoes are smooth, and the focus can't be found. Indoor tug-of-war may not be a good option, but the cheerful atmosphere of tug-of-war and the lively scene of everyone's eagerness are so exciting that everyone strongly suggests organizing another tug-of-war outside next time.

The fiasco of tug-of-war made us miss the gold medal. I have always thought that I don't care about winning the prize. Now it seems that I still care, especially the sense of collective honor. Our group won the silver medal, and Betty and Claire contributed a lot. They are our top scorers. Fortunately, they were assigned to our group when drawing lots. In other projects, everyone is not to be outdone, and strives for the upper reaches with tacit understanding. Strength and luck push us to the second place, winning the silver medal. Looking at everyone's smiles, Jenny, the founder of Fire Phoenix, is the most grateful person in her heart. She organized everyone to warm up, jumped out of her personal circle and actively participated in various public welfare activities, which made her sisters live a wonderful life.

medals are a summary and recognition of the past, but also the goal and direction of future life. I know that there are our bitterness and tears behind this medal, but also our efforts and persistence, hard work and struggle. Medal is an affirmation of our achievements, but also an encouragement and spur to us. Thanks to all the volunteers who have paid for the Fire Phoenix in recent years, including me, of course. We will strive for more medals for the collective honor and for the Fire Phoenix group.
