Beihai (Zhuang: Bwzhaij) is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, located at the southern tip of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the northeast bank of Beibu Gulf. It is located at108 50 ′ 45 ″ ~109 47 ′ 28 ″ east longitude, 20 26 ′ ~ 2155 ′ 34 ″ north latitude, 206km from Nanning in the northwest, Zhanjiang 198km in the east and southeast.

Nanliujiang River flows into the sea, forming a reticular water system at sea, creating the Nanliujiang Delta, the largest delta in Guangxi. Delta is an important agricultural producing area in Guangxi with low terrain, dense water network and excellent water, soil, light and heat conditions. There are many islands and beaches along its outer edge, which are suitable for fishing and mariculture. Xingdao Lake (Hongchaohe Reservoir) is located in the north of Beihai City. It is a lake in Qinzhou City and the largest lake in Beihai City.
