Xizhou, located 16 km north of Dali ancient city, is a famous town in western Yunnan and Dali. Xizhou folk house represents the style of Dali Bai folk house.

The enclosed courtyard with "three squares and one wall" and "four in five patios" is a typical pattern, with a single courtyard and many courtyards. The plane is square and the shape is two-story double-eaved herringbone roof. There are three or five rooms in the southeast of the main house, with civil masonry structure and wooden frame combined with tenon and mortise. A courtyard or several courtyards are connected into a whole, and the outer walls are mostly painted with white (lime) and gray (fine mud).

Finally, we went to the famous local lotus pond. The lotus pond is located in the middle of the stone forest. It looks square, and the slate is engraved with patterns. Legend has it that seven fairies came to the lotus pond. There is also a stone lotus in the lotus pond. It is so lifelike that you will never believe it from a distance. The water in the lotus pond is crystal clear, and the fish are playing at the bottom!
