On April 28-29, Dian Juge got Geometry A, which was listed last year, and drove in Beijing for two days. By the way, I measured its battery life and briefly experienced autonomous driving and car networking.

The temperature in those two days was relatively high, 28-3 1 degree, which was very suitable for the endurance of electric vehicles, so the endurance performance was very good. However, the endurance performance of electric vehicles is affected by many factors, and the performance is different at low temperature and high speed. Because there is no photoelectric endurance test, high-speed endurance test and low-temperature endurance test. This test result is for reference only.

First of all, about battery life

The test time was short, and * * * tested three distances. Driving habits are the same as daily car use. First look at the basic data of the test drive:

The first section: Fourth Ring Road+Jingtong Expressway+Tongyan Expressway.

On the afternoon of April 28th, I took the geometry A test for the first time.

The road section is: Shi Sheng Bolan 4S Store-Maya Hotel-Shi Sheng Bolan-South Fourth Ring Road-West Fourth Ring Road-East Fourth Ring Road-Yanjiao. 95% of this section is also urban expressway and expressway. Expressway has an adaptive cruise of 80km, and actually travels about 60-80km. The adaptive cruising speed of Tong Yan is 100km, and the actual speed is about 80- 100km.

The above table shows that the real endurance rate is 109%. Although high temperature will improve endurance, I am still a little surprised to achieve such endurance at such a speed. I only tested Geely's electric car before I got together, and it was the first time to seriously test the battery life. I didn't expect it to come to this level.

Section 2: Yanjiao to Shougang Park

The test was conducted at noon on April 29th. At night, use a 220-volt charging gun to fully charge the home in advance.

The highest temperature of the day is 3 1 degree, which is conducive to improving battery life. But the temperature inside the car is 23 degrees, and the air volume 1 level is too hot. I set the air conditioner to 22 degrees and the air volume is 2.

This section of the road is also an urban expressway, accounting for the vast majority, more than 95%. The road section is Yanjiao-Tongyan Expressway-Jingtong Expressway-South Fourth Ring Road-West Fourth Ring Road-Shi Lian East Road-South Gate of Shougang Park. Children's eye high-speed adaptive cruise 100km, other high-speed adaptive cruise 80km.

As can be seen from the table, the real endurance rate is 10 1%. To tell you the truth, I don't believe this. Although the weather is hot and the battery life has improved, is Geely's electric car really that strong when driving at 70-80km/h?

The dashboard shows that the actual mileage is 86km, but Baidu map shows that it is 7 1km from my home to Shougang Park. Why is the difference 15km?

I recall that when I went to Shougang Park, Baidu Navigation couldn't tell the difference between the bridge and the bridge, so I made three trips back and forth on the majestic Shougang viaduct. When I got off Shi Lian East Road, I took the wrong road and changed my head. This adds up to almost 10- 15km.

On the whole, even if the actual mileage differs by several kilometers, the true rate of this endurance test is still relatively high.

The third paragraph: Shougang Park to Shi Sheng Bolan Geely 4S shop

The test was conducted on the afternoon of April 29th. This journey is from the south gate of Shougang Park-Shi Lian East Road-West Fourth Ring Road-South Fourth Ring Road-Shi Sheng Bolan (near Xiaocun Bridge).

As can be seen from the road sections, the test sections are all urban elevated expressways, and a few are urban roads. Therefore, except for urban roads, elevated roads are 80km adaptive cruise driving.

As shown in the report, the real endurance rate is 103%, which is not bad at the adaptive cruising speed of 80km. The temperature was a little low in the afternoon. I adjusted the air conditioner to 23 degrees, and the air volume was the first, presumably to improve the battery life.

Durability test summary:

After three comprehensive tests, it can be seen that the endurance of Geometry A is very good at the current temperature, which even surprises me.

This test did not deliberately drive on high-speed or congested roads, but completely drove freely in the city, which basically reflected the endurance level of Geometry A in this temperature environment.

Of course, the high temperature has improved its endurance. In addition, all three tests were started when the battery charge exceeded 90%. Generally speaking, the first half of the battery is relatively solid, which will also improve the endurance performance.

There is a mileage calculator on Geometric official website. I calculated with a calculator that the endurance of the standard endurance version is 375km, which is basically consistent with my test results.

Second, about autonomous driving.

Regarding autopilot, the previous geometry A gave me the impression that with Volvo's autopilot technology, the level of autopilot should be good, right? Is that really the case? I had a special experience.

According to the official, Geometry A's autonomous driving technology originated from Volvo, but the supplier is mainland Germany. It is equipped with three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radar and six smart cameras.

From the configuration table, the L2 autopilot package of Geometry A is rich in content. In addition to the basic ACC adaptive cruise +LKA lane keeping assist system and AEB active braking system, there are RCW+FCW front and rear collision warning system, ICC intelligent navigation system, LCA lane change assist system and SLIF speed limit identification system.

Judging from these configurations, it is higher than the general L2 configuration. The official claim that Geometry A is equipped with L2 plus autopilot should also mean this.

I learned from the 4S shop that the square version of Geometry A is not available now, but the cubic version and the power version are on sale. Both versions are equipped with L2 autopilot kit, but the power version has more configurations.

After the experience, I feel that its adaptive cruise function is very easy to use and powerful. The monitoring of the front car, the control of the distance between cars and the monitoring of traffic jams are all in place, just like an experienced driver, which makes people very confident and assured. In design, this adaptive cruise also stops in 3 seconds and needs to be restarted by pressing the switch.

Personally, in traditional car companies, the adaptive cruise level of Geometry A is in the forefront, which is more accurate than that of many traditional car companies and new car-making forces. Of course, it is a little weaker than Tesla's adaptive cruise accuracy.

The LDWS lane departure warning system will alert oncoming vehicles at any time, which is sensitive, but it will also ring frequently. If you don't like it, you can turn it off. The function of ICC intelligent navigation system is similar to the lane keeping function.

Geometric lane-changing assistant system is not a semi-automatic lane-changing function like Tesla, but monitors oncoming vehicles when changing lanes and gives early warning to make lane-changing safer.

The autopilot function of Geometry A needs to be turned on with the small button on the right side of the steering wheel. The panoramic image system is very good, and it can be automatically turned on when it is congested or turned around, which is very convenient.

Automatic stop button

Geometry A also provides automatic parking function, and the button is just below the electronic handbrake, which can realize vertical parking and horizontal parking. However, panoramic images and automatic parking are only available in the power version.

To sum up, the difference between the cubic version and the power version is a bit like the feeling of basic automatic driving and fully automatic driving of Tesla AP.

The cubic version is equipped with adaptive cruise system, LKA lane keeping assist system, LDWS lane departure warning system and ICC intelligent navigation system. These configurations can achieve L2-level automatic driving, which is enough to free your feet on congested roads and expressway, similar to Tesla's AP function.

On the basis of the cubic version, the power version adds rear-end warning, door-opening warning, LCA lane-changing auxiliary system, automatic parking system and 360-degree reversing image. , the intelligence level is higher.

Therefore, if you don't particularly care about autopilot technology, the cube version of autopilot function is enough.

If you want to experience the intelligence level of Geometry A, choose the Power Edition.

Personally, I think the power version is more worth choosing, because the official guide price of the cubic version is 654.38+0.6 million yuan, and the official guide price of the power version is 654.38+0.7 million yuan. The difference between the two cars is only 10 thousand yuan, but the configuration has increased a lot. Tesla needs 56 thousand yuan to upgrade from AP to FSD. In addition, due to the different intelligent hardware configurations between the cube version and the power version, the autopilot function cannot be upgraded remotely through OTA. Therefore, it is better to choose the power version directly in one step.

In addition, in addition to the automatic driving suit, Geometry A has several practical configurations that are standard in the whole system, including driving recorder, Bosch 9.3 ESP, electronic brake+automatic parking, TPMS intelligent tire pressure+tire temperature monitoring system. Third, about voice car networking.

Voice car networking is Geely's strength, and Geometry A also follows this advantage. A 12.3-inch touch screen is also installed in the car, and the touch screen operates smoothly. However, you need to log in to experience all the features.

I didn't log in. I tried. Voice can control the front window, sunshade and navigation, and can also play songs and radios, but can't play storytelling, novels and cross talk. It is estimated that these resources can be played after logging in.

The accuracy and response speed of speech recognition is also the first echelon of independent brands. One problem is that navigation sound and entertainment sound are the same channel, and the sound comes and goes. If the navigation sound is adjusted, the entertainment sound will be adjusted accordingly, which is inconvenient.

When Geometry A first went on the market, it quit free data traffic for life. I prefer this one. According to my experience, car networking is fun, but there is no WI-FI, it is just a decoration, so free data traffic is very attractive. I don't know how many grams of free traffic does A have every year?

Geometric cars can be upgraded remotely through OTA. However, the autopilot function cannot be upgraded remotely.

Geometry A also has the function of head-up display, which integrates information such as speed, navigation, cruise, speed limit and so on, which is convenient and clear. There is a car on it. When accelerating, the two exhaust pipes spray flames, which is as fun as the racing car in the game.

Four. Appearance, interior, configuration and chassis

1, Geometry A's appearance and interior design draw lessons from Volvo's Nordic design style, which is relatively young and unique.

Its name is "geometry", and geometric figures are indeed used in many places of modeling design, especially in interior design, where geometric figures are equipped. For example, the storage compartment at the center armrest has a "geometric" shape and matches the appearance.

However, in the pursuit of modeling echo, it also slightly sacrificed the storage function. For example, there are three grooves in the central armrest, which are triangular and irregular quadrilateral. It seems that the mobile phone does not match in which groove. Another example is the wireless charging slot, which is too narrow. It takes some manual work to put the mobile phone in and take it out.

2, brake energy recovery, driving mode and other buttons, using virtual lighting display, officially known as the central super touch area. This kind of design is cool and young, which conforms to the younger positioning of geometry. It looks cool at night and the operation is simple.

But I can't see clearly during the day, as shown above. Especially in the sun, you can't see clearly at all, and it is very inconvenient to operate. It is difficult to control unless you are proficient in blind operation.

3, knob shifting is very fashionable, but the knob turns without end. I don't know if this is a deliberate design or a distinctive design. When shifting gears, there is no obvious jam and end point in the third gear, and the knob can rotate continuously. At first, I thought the gear was wrong, but I didn't know it was such a design until I experienced it carefully. Personally, I feel that I will accidentally hang the wrong file when I hang the N file. Of course, I can also operate blindly if I am familiar with it.

4. Its chassis is a front McPherson independent suspension and a rear torsion beam semi-independent suspension. What's it like to drive? At first, I felt that the steering wheel felt good and the body was tough and compact. In particular, the strength of the steering wheel is well matched with the chassis. As soon as I got on the bus, I couldn't help but want to play, drive hard, accelerate, brake and drill seams.

But after a long time, I feel that the chassis is a little flat, like a whole board before and after, or the chassis feeling of the old Geely car. In short, the handling is good and the comfort can be improved.

Spacious space, fabric seats are said to be the standard for baby contact.

5, the automatic door handle is cool, which can be said to draw on the dual advantages of model s and model 3 door handles. When you approach with a key, it will automatically pop up one end, like the door handle of model 3 is open, more like the wing of a fighter. Automatically retract after locking the car, reducing wind resistance.

6. The rectangular dashboard is very powerful and the content introduction is very practical, but the design is somewhat rough. The small rectangular appearance does not match the overall geometric design style, as if it were an unfinished work. It is to stand behind the steering wheel with a small square screen instead of the traditional dashboard. Designers should spend more time and thought here.

7. The vehicle is equipped with a panoramic canopy covering the front and rear rows, just like the canopy of model 3. Very cool.

Five, electric colt brother summary:

On the whole, the power version has the most complete configuration, which allows you to appreciate the intelligence of Geometry A and the technological charm of the Internet of Vehicles, but the price is also the highest. The official guide price is 654.38+0.7 million yuan.

As a pioneering work of a brand-new brand, I personally feel that the appearance and interior design of Geometry A are unique. The endurance is no less than that of competing products, and the L2 autopilot level is ahead of traditional brands. The Internet of Vehicles also won the joint venture brand, ranking the first echelon of independent brands.

However, for the three important advantages of Geometry A, there are few voices in the industry ... especially the intelligent technology of autonomous driving, the brand power is weak and does not match its strength.

From the configuration and adjustment of chassis, Geometry A is not enough to match the strength of a new brand, and the design of instrument panel needs to be improved to match the overall style of Geometry.

At present, the domestic standard endurance model 3 is priced at 270,000 yuan, equipped with a 52kwh battery pack and an AP autopilot package. From the perspective of battery life, the geometry is comparable to the standard version of model 3. From the perspective of autopilot configuration, the autopilot configuration of Geometry A is equivalent to or even richer than that of Tesla AP Basic Edition, but the price is 6.5438+10,000 yuan lower than that of model 3. It looks worth it.

Of course, the weakness of the autopilot configuration of Geometry A is that OTA cannot be upgraded remotely at present. Unlike Tesla, money can be opened remotely. According to geometric technicians, the strategy of OTA remote upgrade is also being formulated recently, but the cars currently on sale cannot be upgraded to autonomous driving remotely.

So, if you want to buy an economical electric car with the basic version of self-driving function, you can look at Geometry A ... especially the power version, which is worth choosing.

If you think that the 270,000 standard version of domestic model 3 is not affordable, just look at170,000 geometric A power version. There are many other aspects of geometry A except that autonomous driving can't upgrade evolution remotely.
