1. Geographical location

Xiayanggu Village is located in Kuocang Town, an important tourist town at the northern foot of Kuocang Mountain in the west of Linhai City. It borders Xibian Wang Village to the west, Yong'an Creek and 35 Provinces to the north. It is opposite to Tao and Taijin Expressways, borders Weiqianwang Village and Taoxi Village to the south, and the Elephant Trunk Rock Scenic Area in Kuocang Town to the east. It is 16 kilometers away from Linhai City and 8 kilometers away from Baishuiyang Town, an important town in the west of Linhai City. The village now has an 8-meter-wide cement road leading directly to Kuocang Town and Provincial Highway 35. It has convenient transportation, pleasant environment, increasingly perfect infrastructure, and further improved living conditions.

2. Natural environment

The geographical location of Xiayanggu Village is between 28°52′~28°56′ north latitude and 130°15′~132°40′ east longitude. It is located 2.5 kilometers northwest of the town, close to Yong'an River in the north, Xiangshan Mountain in the east, and the famous Elephant Trunk Rock near the stream. The village mainly grows peaches and the terrain is flat. There are 482 acres of cultivated land and 600 acres of mountainous land, mainly planting rice and wheat, and it is a plain area. Xiayanggu Village is located in a mid-subtropical monsoon area with a warm and humid climate, with obvious alternations of winter and summer monsoons. Winters are severely cold, with the average temperature in January being 5.8°C and the coldest extreme temperature -6.9°C. Summers are extremely hot, with the average temperature in July being 28.1°C. , the extreme maximum temperature is 39.6°C, and the annual precipitation is 1,600 mm, with the highest volume in April and September. May to June is the rainy season. Under the control of tropical high pressure, from July to August, except for typhoons, rainstorms and local thunderstorms, the weather is sunny and hot. Mainly, typhoons are more frequent from July to September, causing floods.

Xiayanggu Village and Xiaohaimen Village, Lingxi Village, Daling Village, Shangfan Village, Fangxi Village, Shantouhe Village, Qianxu Village, Xiafan Village, Huangshitan Village, Zhangjiadu Village, Xiajing Village Tan Village, Wangrentun Village, Menqian Village and Da'ao Village are adjacent to each other.
