Why has it been raining in Zhangzhou recently? I heard it was artificial rainfall. Why? Find a solution

China News Service, Zhangzhou, May 4 (Liu Yongming, Zheng Ruiqing) Since entering the flood season this year, the precipitation in Zhangzhou, southern Fujian has been obviously less. As of April, the city's average precipitation was 86.8 mm, which was 267.9 mm less, or about 7.6%. It was one of the years with the least rainfall since the city had hydrological records, second only to 1963 in the same period, and the spring drought was very serious.

The person in charge of Zhangzhou Meteorological Bureau told the reporter on the 4th that the continuous lack of rain caused the small reservoirs in Zhangzhou1/KLOC-0 to dry up, and 26.943 thousand hectares of crops suffered from drought, and more than 6,930 people had difficulty drinking water, mainly in Zhangpu County and Dongshan County. Most of the local people did not realize water supply through the tap water pipe network, but were self-sufficient by drilling wells. Due to the lack of precipitation, the groundwater level drops rapidly, and the water level of some wells is only 0.2 ~ 0.

The person in charge said that from mid-February to April 16, Zhangzhou City continued to have little rain, and the number of days without rain in counties (cities, districts) ranged from 55 to 62, reaching the meteorological standard of spring drought to extreme drought.

In order to further alleviate the local drought, Zhangzhou City has invested 7.73 million yuan in drought relief funds, 515,000 kWh of electricity and 0/00 ton of oil, 5,577 electromechanical wells and 4,040 mobile drought relief equipment, and organized personnel to carry out artificial precipitation enhancement in time.

During the "May Day" period, artificial precipitation enhancement was carried out 40 times and 99 artificial precipitation enhancement rockets were launched at seven operating points, namely, Red Star in Zhao 'an, Fengtou in Xiao Yun, Shigu in Zhangpu, Houlonghai Lake, Banli in Changtai, Shuyang in Nanjing and Pinghe Mountain, with remarkable results.

From April 29th to May 2nd at 8: 00, there was moderate to heavy rain in Zhangzhou, and the precipitation was 15 ~ 65mm, which was about 30% higher than that without artificial precipitation enhancement, effectively alleviating the drought in Zhangzhou.

In this way, this weather will last for a few days.
