What to drink when the weather is cold?

You are still immersed in the days of drinking beer or cold white wine, and the weather has quietly turned cold! I remember Wong Kar-wai once said through the mouth of the blind swordsman in Time Has Passed: "The more you drink, the warmer you get, and the colder you drink." So for people who love wine, it is natural to drink some wine to warm up this season!

1

red wine

If white wine is the darling of summer, then red wine must be the angel of autumn and winter! When drinking wine in cold weather, you can choose red wine with heavy tannins and slightly higher alcohol content. If you drink it in one gulp, you will immediately feel hot! Of course, this kind of weather is still a high incidence of colds. The French, who know wine like the back of their hand, have discovered the wonderful use of wine: treating colds! They will first heat the red wine, then add a slice of fresh lemon and brown sugar, continue to boil, and after a little cooling, take out the lemon slices for drinking to drive away the cold. Germans are not weak in this respect. They like to put an egg in boiling wine, break the yolk, and then turn off the fire and continue stirring. Drinking it after cooling can also relieve cold symptoms.

It should be noted that if you heat it just for drinking, then I advise you not to do so! As we all know, wine has its own drinking temperature, which should generally not exceed 18℃. If you drink it warm, it will not only lose the refreshing taste of wine, but also bring great harm to wine. If the temperature of wine is too low in winter, you can try to warm the wine glass by hand.

2

China yellow rice wine

In the impression of many people, the most traditional way to drink yellow rice wine is to cook it with shredded ginger, plum or medlar. Indeed, warm drinking yellow rice wine can not only feel the stronger aroma of wine, but also make the taste of wine softer. More importantly, in the process of scalding wine, some trace methanol, aldehydes and ethers that are harmful to human health will evaporate, and esters will surge out with the increase of temperature. Warm yellow wine also has the function of warming the stomach and promoting blood circulation. It is worth mentioning that whenever drinking alcohol, it should be warm but not hot, because the boiling point of alcohol is lower than that of water, and alcohol will volatilize first after heating, thus making the wine tasteless, so it can be warmer.

three

rice wine

The ancients really liked to warm up when drinking. The most typical example is that Cao Cao talks about heroes when he cooks wine, and Guan Yu kills Hua Xiong when he drinks wine. The reason is that ancient people used to drink rice wine. Because there is no advanced production technology, there are generally many impurities in wine. A little heating can make it volatilize, which is more beneficial to the human body. Even now, it is better to drink rice wine warm, which is sweeter, more delicious and mellow, without hurting the spleen and stomach, and the effect of dispelling cold and warming the body is naturally better.

four

Chinese hard liquor

Unlike yellow rice wine and rice wine, white wine generally does not need warm drinking. This is because the alcohol content of liquor itself is very high, and after drinking it, the body heats up like automatic heating, which naturally achieves the purpose of keeping out the cold. Of course, some people drink liquor enthusiastically, thinking that it can reduce the intensity of liquor and is a better entrance. However, some ester aromatic substances are sometimes lost, and it is also found that alcohol will continue to volatilize after the heating of liquor is stopped, which will cause irritation to eyes when drinking. In short, whether drinking white wine is warm or not is a matter of opinion.

five

whisky

If you stick to the old idea that whisky is only suitable for ice, you are behind the times. Whiskey is also a drink with high alcohol content. Many people like to drink whisky in winter to warm up. It is worth mentioning that even at the temperature of MINUS 30℃, whisky can still remain liquid, so Antarctic explorers also like to carry some whisky with them to keep out the cold. In addition, adding a little hot water, 1 spoon honey and a little lemon juice to whiskey while it is hot can relieve symptoms such as cough and itchy throat, which is very practical in this cold-prone season.

six

brandy

Like whisky, brandy is one of the world-famous spirits. The alcohol content of brandy is generally around 35%-60%, and it is often used as after-dinner wine. It can not only help gastrointestinal digestion, but also dispel cold and warm the body, remove blood stasis and detoxify, and relieve fever and diuresis. Europeans once praised without stint: "A meal without brandy is like spring without the sun."

seven

vodka

Speaking of warm-up, you must not forget vodka! Just like every nation has its own wine, every nation has different heating methods. Vodka is a common way to fight against the country. Russia is located in the north of China. Compared with the northeast, the cold weather here comes earlier, lasts longer and is colder. Russians often like to drink high-concentration vodka to drive away the cold in cold weather, then drink it all at once, then show off the export cup and shout "wow"! Vodka has a high alcohol purity, and you can feel the burning sensation brought by alcohol at the entrance. In addition, vodka is colorless and light, and only high alcohol burns the throat like a flame, which forms the unique characteristics of vodka and goes deep into the bones of Russians. No wonder Russians like to drink vodka so much that they are called fighting nations.

Purpose; Interests; Reason; Reason; Sake

Sake gives the impression that it should be drunk while it is hot. Indeed, whether at home or in Japan, you can always see people drinking warm sake in Japanese restaurants. Warm drinking (35℃) or even hot drinking (55℃) can reduce the acidity of sake and highlight its sweetness, which is generally suitable for sake with rich rice flavor, such as pure rice wine, indigenous brewing and ordinary wine. Heating without water can keep the original flavor of sake, so you can pour the sake you want into a sake jug and heat it in hot water (80℃-90℃) for a few minutes. Of course, not all sake is suitable for warm drinking, after all, the aroma in wine is easy to lose at high temperature.

nine

spirit

In China, shochu is also called liquor, which coincides with the above, so here we mainly discuss shochu and shochu.

Japanese shochu is also a kind of distilled liquor, colorless and transparent, and its alcohol content is mostly around 25% (not higher than 45%). Like sake, this kind of shochu is also suitable for hot drinking, and even hot water (the ratio of water to wine to wine) can be directly added to the wine. Of course, it is heated like sake.

Although overall, the alcohol content of Korean shochu is not as high as that of Japanese shochu, some Korean shochu can reach 45% (mostly around 20%). Korean shochu is very common in Korean dramas, and I was deeply impressed by the scenes of the protagonists drinking shochu in cotton-padded clothes in cold weather.

Hot cocktail

Toddy is a sweet and hot wine and a well-known hot cocktail. It's very simple to make. Just mix whisky, honey and lemon juice evenly, then add a slice of lemon peel and pour in hot water. Irish coffee cocktail is also a typical hot drink. This is a cocktail made of coffee and whisky. If you drink it while it is hot, it will warm your heart and stomach. Isn't it beautiful?
