Deep in the dense forest, many vines are wrapped around the trees, and some are as high as 50 cm, like small trees; Some are as thin as ropes; There are round ones and flat ones; There are also squares and quadrangles. They are winding up and down, hanging up and down, winding and stretching, forming a vast world of strange vines in the tropical rain forest. Several vines simply hang from the branches in a circle, like a natural swing. Tree fern is a unique epiphytic phenomenon landscape of tropical rain forest in Simao area. They spread in the cracks of tree trunks, branches or bark with wind and rain, germinate and grow, and rely on their roots to absorb nutrients in decaying substances on tree trunks and moisture in the air to maintain their lives. Among them, the lotus fern belongs to the primitive "prehistoric legacy" and is called the "living fossil" in the plant kingdom. There is also a typical strangulation phenomenon in the tropical rain forest of Simao-"Tree Climbing Dragon". Several twisted branches like dragons wrap the whole tree from bottom to top, which looks like a strange and beautiful "tree carving". In fact, behind this "beauty" is a life-and-death struggle. "Tree Climbing Dragon" lives for itself and parasitizes on other tree trunks. It grows criss-crossing roots, wraps the trees, deprives the trees of nutrients, and competes with the host for sunshine and rain, thus rapidly expanding itself. When the roots go deep into the soil and form their own strong roots, and can survive independently, the roots densely distributed on the trunk will expand rapidly and tightly wrap around the host until the host "suffocates" and dies.
