Differences of Climate Characteristics between Dandong and Changchun

Dandong is located in the mid-latitude zone on the east coast of Eurasia, with a warm temperate and semi-humid monsoon climate. The average annual rainfall is mostly between 800- 1200mm, which is the most rainy area in northern China, and 2/3 of the rainfall is concentrated in summer. The annual average temperature is 8-9℃ in the south and 6-7℃ in the north. Affected by the monsoon, the four seasons change obviously and are distinct. Changchun City is located in the hinterland of China Northeast Plain, with an altitude of 250-350 meters and a flat and open terrain. It belongs to the continental monsoon climate zone in the north temperate zone, and is in the transition zone from humid area to sub-arid area in the national dry and wet climate division. The temperature rises from east to west, and the precipitation decreases from east to west. Spring is dry and windy, summer is wet and rainy, autumn is crisp, winter is cold and long, four seasons are distinct, rain and heat are the same season, and humidity is moderate.
